Fresh idea - SimplyCertified.com
So I had this really cool new idea and went with it. Hope it works out well once it goes live!!!
What do you think of the site, which is not 100% complete... but almost there.

I'd appreciate feedback on EVERYTHING - layout, colors, accessibility, personal opinions, etc. etc.

Well - its different I have to admit that, but will it catch on ???. I can't really comment on the layout, as I don't know what this kind of site should look like.
BUT it is different.

Awesome website. The blend of colors is perfect. It is a simple clean website. However, in my opinion I think the bottom menu bar should be position a little more down. It is almost close to half of your page.
Nice site though. Good luck!

Execellent and awesome website. The site loads fast. The CSS style you defined in search form is very nice. But the 3 tables with simple borders is not nice.Just try to add some love related images as background. The image should be very transparent.
The logo looks 100% appropiate.so i think the 3 tables should be some what better.
Otherwise the i like the site very much.

How about this for the home page (unfinished!)?
http://www.simplycertified.com/index2
Ignore the poor quality... I just saved it as a 255 color PNG.
My main problem is the 3 colored boxes.. orange needs the black text, but then its out of place. Also, all 3 of those colors aren't really used on the site besides the purple/green for two images in the browse home..
any input on the maybe-new homepage?

The current homepage definitely isn't descriptive enough - I like the random text, but since it only mentions one type of certificate then it's confusing - for example when I first saw the site it said something about offering certificates for phone text addicts - I assumed that was the only type of certificate available. Even though it says the certificates can be customized, I assumed it meant customization of phone text addict certificates, not completely different themed certificates - because the big headline seemed to indicate just one theme. It only became clear to me after exploring the site more, but visitors may not stick around if they see just one theme and it doesn't interest them.
The new homepage is definitely an improvement since it fixes the problem I just mentioned, but it seems to have become very serious - the exact opposite of the currently amusing random headings! The new homepage text seems to indicate that you're offering genuine certificates for real occasions, whereas the old homepage seemed to be offering certificates more for amusement purposes. Perhaps this is an intentional shift of targeting? I liked the idea of amusing certificates, but maybe there's a bigger market for more serious certificates... Anyway it's a nice-looking site, good luck with it! ps. on the new homepage, ocassions should be occasions

Pretty typical design for this type of site. I think your color theme is all over the place though, but admitedly, I am very monochromatic. One thing that really jumped out at me was the mouseover "glow" effect, yikes, please remove that ASAP. Maybe change the color shade behind the text. Also, I really wanted to click the 3 boxes you have on the home page and was a little disappointed that I couldn't. The create section has some nice scripting, function wise, but it's far from being compliant. It's a web2.0 app but you managed to stay a little away from making it look like it and imo, thats a good thing.

I like index2, at 800x600 it's a perfect fit and colours flow well although there is a bit of white space between the content and the bottom section.
I think your logo should be bigger (fatter) so it stands out a bit more.
That yellow is different to most you find (on CRT screen) and has very relaxing/flowing element to it
