Free letterhead for email.
I made this site a while ago it’s not getting many visitors, perhaps 5 uniques per day. About a 100 visitors have made free letterheads from all over the world USA, Canada, UK, even far away places like India, South Africa, Jamaica.
I’ve made about 200 free graphical letterheads and emailed them out for promotion to accountants. Sold a couple (pays for the site I suppose)
But I hoped for much more
It is an International service with viral marketing built in. My friend even tried it in Beijing he said it worked great and very fast.
What am I doing wrong? Is the price right? onlineletterhead

To get more traffic you could try getting this listed on free stuff sites. Try to think of where people might go to get something like this. THey might not be specifically looking for it but would like it if they happened to stumble upon it. Free resoruces for business would be another type of site to look for.
The design is okay. The colour scheme is good although like the other site you posted, the logo needs work. Try using a more interesting font there. The illustrations on the front page do a good job of showing how this all works so there isn't much of a need for more explaination. The bit along the left side about the pricing with the star bits is really odd. That is really difficult to read chunked up in tiny bits like that. I also find it odd that you felt the need to say that at all. I'm sure you have your resons but as a visitor it seems out of place.
The site barely fits in a window at 1024 width and would not work at all at 800 x 600. There is really no need to design it fixed at 1024. There really isn't that much content here. Remove that left sidebar, make the graphics a little smaller, and you'd have no problem fitting this in at 800x600.
The arrows there have the same readability problem as the left side bit with the stars. The text is in too small chunks and there is too much spacing between lines. Keep the text in a simple block instead of spacing it out. While you're at it, get rid of the bevel on those arrows.
About the pricing - it does look a little high to me. You should really consider adding different price levels because in most cases people will already have a logo design that they'll want to use. They might even want it to match their website or print letterhead. Another thing to consider is to put the price in dollars as well as pounds. If you want to target an international audience you have to display prices in a currency they understand.
Good idea, and nice work on the custom letterheads. Another idea would be to point out why having a custom email letterhead would be a good idea for business. Try to sell the product a little more. You could put this in the body of the sample emails even.

From a design perspective, I think that the colour schemes do not really work - the combination of blue, black and orange looks a little cheap. The orange text on grey background may work well in brochures, but is difficult to read on screen and could cause issues for certain users.
There appears to be a lack of continuity between pages, as some are presented with black text and others in orange, whilst the font size is all over the place. If the help and privacy pages are so important that they need to be presented in a legible andf strong colour, should the sales message not be the same?
The Custom Letterhead page, which is where your revenue os going to come from, loses impact through use of multiple colours and font sizes. Where is the emphasis supposed to be? This means that the key selling messages are lost.
As a user (and potential customer) I am left with the impression that the site lacks professionalism and this is inconsistent with the claim made on the About page that you can maximise branding potential. The credibility is lost. There are some really nice touches (the referrals for example, and the ease of use for template creation) but this site needs to be far slicker in terms of presentation if high volumes of sales are to be acheived.

Would i think you need to do is get a new template and have an online tutorial made of flash. To get a good templaet you can make one or just have a search on google. A tutorila made of flash would teach people about your service and persuade them into buying a header.

I completely disagree with rlineker. Do NOT get a template. Templates all look alike. I can pick out a template based site within seconds. I think what your site needs is individuality.
Get a blank piece of paper and a pencil. Sketch out what you would love to see. I tell everyone to look through the many sites on the internet to find the good ones.
A great place to start is here... http://philrenaud.com/156
Take a look at these sites, and you will start to see what a beautiful website looks like. Your site doesnt have to be the best, but its gotta be something unique that catches the eye.
I think the most important thing is the homepage becuase its usually the first page a visitor sees. If it looks like something that was made in the 90's (and studies show that users decide if they like a website in about 1 second) then your visitors are likely to press the Back button, but if you can grab their attention at their first glimpse, you have already jumped the first hurdle!
good luck

The samples are too big, at least for my take. And the big 'Pay Here' on the top is a but off putting. Maybe you should send your customers payment instructions in the email you send with the sample header? Your work looks great. Good luck.
It works on my machine.

Try to add some tab for the header part. Also the website needs some alignment when viewed in opera.Use contact form instead of static message.Try hotscripts.com and see in scripts section to get free contact form.

locatepeople - it's predominantly for outlook and outlook express although it's just 2 images so potentially can work with other mail systems
Acadia - Good points I have a tendancy to make stuff to big because I work in 1600x1200 for photoshop and it warps my view but also I want to show the actual size and quality rather than reducing the images
and the "pay here" you're right its a bit in your face I'll have to think of a plan for that.
webmonster - what do you mean
I didn't try it in opera and contact forms I dunno I've used them on other sites and they're a bit complicated for what is essentially an email, it has to call up some email.php thing etc. so I figured I'd encrypt my email address instead, but I'll looking to it again.
Thanks all for your valuable advice and for taking the time to look at my site I really appreciate it and will act on your advice.
Cheers
Roy
