A good, easily navigatable site. I found it very easy to navigate and find exactly what I was looking for.

Good job!

This is one ofthe best & most interesting sites I've seen in terms of content for a long time. Totally orginal & considering how much info is packed on there, navigation is spot on.

My biggest quam is I'm not made aware of what the site is about straight away.
At the very bottom you have: login, register ... umm what for? isn't it all here on the page?
I click on 'stuff' am sure this is the same page I was on, is index and stuff the same? Every link is the same, ahhhhh I see, it's breaking the main page down into sections. - Bit of guess work going on here on my behalf.

The layout I think is missing that "I am here, I am ..." factor, maybe do something with your top header section, logo, banner even maybe.
interesting contents Wink

Hello, red ghost. Thanks for helping out with some other sites. We appreciate it!

I agree with busy about not knowing what the site is about. Even looking at this for several minutes I couldn't figure out what the topic was. It's such a mish mash of real news, silly stuff, and a "chick of the month" poll??? What's up with that??

Another thing I was confused about is the navbar. With the little arrows there it looks like a breadcrumb trail.

I think that you could do something with your header area to make these things more clear to people. Make a proper navbar (I like the CSS list/button effect, as used on A List Apart). Get a nice photo for your header area, or a collage of photos that relate to your subject. Get a tagline. Flipsource.net: News & stuff for guys (think of something catchy, you know). The colours should also be more dramatic: maybe black & some shades of orange and tan would be eye catching and suitable. Get pictures of your chicks of the month. This looks like a boring corporate site and it's totally not.

Using so many external links is taking people away from your site. Consider opening them in a new window. (some people think this is a really bad practice but how else do you handle something like this?). I think it would also be good ettiquette to name your source in some finer print next to the links (i.e. Today's Box Office, from movieweb.com).

Good job with pulling the content togehter - just need some work on the interface to make more of an impact with your visitors.

I liked it.

I would add a tag line on the heading to give be a broad ideal what the page is all about.

I would also change the navigation to a more obvious format.

Well done...

The ">" in the top nav bar can be mistaken as a crumb-trail.

Not everyone uses white as their window background color. I use light grey (easier on my eyes), so I see the background on your pages as light grey. If white is your intended bg color, add:

Quote: BODY { background-color : #fff;}

to your CSS.

This site isn't about anything and is about everything. That the charm of it. It's the variety that'll keep viewers coming back. Good job Laughing out loud

I really like your site content. And totally agree with Megan about keeping your visitors on your site.

As far as the home page and site description.
I really like to know what to expect when visiting a webpage
I am partial to the enter here page with a few buttons to different pages.
Basically a huge relevant picture with your Site name
Maybe a pic of a door that swings both directions

Something like this
cashbreak.com

Even though when I am designing a sight it ends up a total mess. I have
noticed that the sights I enjoy visiting have a simple enter page with a brief, yet detailed description of what to expect.
And then after the click here, the next page with a big index of the sight in plain view along with a welcome and the content i'm drooling for.
Hope this helps

I agree with Megan about punching up the color a bit. One easy thing to do is to replace the light blue color in the links Busniness News etc.. I just really dislike lightblue for anchor text.

The site has cool information. However even after looking at it for a few minutes I couldn't figure out waht this site was about. I suggest putting a graphic logo across the top, and to add more color to the site, its to white. I think the site has some great content, you just need to ad more graphics, colors and a better navigation system.

I would have to agree with Megan & Busy. Its very original but I got to say its very easy to get lost in what the topic is.
