I disagree.

Two things to consider:

1) 450K+ is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big. Nobody without broadband is going to stick around waiting for that monstrosity to load. Clear your browser cache and test it on a regular dial-up connection. You'll be running away from your own site.

2) The forced refresh from default.htm to the Flash page is too fast. In effect it winds up breaking the "Back" button on the browser since you can't back through it quickly enough to avoid getting forced forward again. That's really poor design.

Maybe you should have taken a few extra days. 5 clearly was not enough.

I think it looks good- but it takes way too long to load, as Maverick said. Maybe if you get rid of the music it might make it smaller. 5 days is very impressive!

Dear Maverick,

Thanks for your comments.

I have tried my site online .. using a 56k modem, as that is all I have, and sure I have to wait a bit but it is loaded under 1.5 mins. I deem that as acceptable. i have tried shrinking it .. but I just can't everything is converted to symbols etc. The music (thanks Justin!) is tiny already it only adds about 15k. I think it is the jpegs, but even then I have compressed them as much as I can.
Can I ask you guys what type of connection you are on and how long it took you to load?

Your second bit .. i don't quite understand .. why is my forced refresh from default.html too fast?? the default page just checks you have flash 4 plugin installed .. if so it sends you on .. there is no need to view that page, there is no need to go backwards. So I don't quite understand that. Please could you explain a little further, have I done it wrong??

Many thanks,

Ho-yin
