I think it is good for a first shot. And doing a site with tables is better than not being able to do one without tables. If I could not use them, I would have no site.

Where do you get the games?

It works on my machine.

I just get them from other game portals like addictinggames.com

Well, I think it is a good first shot. I am no expert, but we all have to start somewhere. What do you plan to do next?

The menu is not nice dude. Please use any CSS or any image link for more attraction.
you have to prepare your site first before asking reviews.

One thing I have noticed about these flash game sites which is worth considering:

if you have a game where you use the mouse to do something like clicking around to shoot or something.
then every so often your mouse strays over the edge and you click an advert by mistake.
the right game could do wonders for your number of clicks

So If I was a capitalistic madman
I would find the highest paying pay per click ads lets say it was credit cards companies

At the top write lots and lots of credit card content bla bla

in the middle have your game preferably credit card based - like use your mouse to shoot the credit cards stealing your money
then surround the game with adverts.

Nice site. I would add some sort of subtitle, to state the mission of your site. "Xemux - providing a growing collection of free games to help you mindlessly waste your time!" or whatever you like.

The featured games section, with their graphic illustrations, is very good. Having the full menu, complete with game genres, immediately below also works very well.

Having the empty Links on the left side of the page, though, just screams "Under Construction". Make them go away, or fill them up.

Finally, you might spice up your overall appearance by getting rid of the stark black and white look of the site. Try using a small graphic file as a background, and set the html to tile the graphic across the full page. Keep it understated (it is a background, after all) with muted colors. Perhaps some small game-related picture. Making the background look like an old arcade game (PacMan, Centipede, etc.) might be cool. Just watch the copyright stuff. And don't use a large file, it'll ruin your page load time.

The black header, too, might benefit from a bit of variety. Turn it into blocks (like Block Breaker) or just give it a texture. You can stay with the dark theme, but try something like black marble, etc.

You can try to make the design smoother. A few colors changed can make a big difference in overall looks.

Not bad at all for a first shot. Please work on the navigation though, there is only one thing to do. The graphics are old-looking and could be better. If you have flash or you can afford it, start making your own games with it and someone said above, use these games that make people click fast right and left... It very well can land on Yahoo ads. Anyway great for a first shot, keep it up and best of luck with the site.

Thanks, I will be adding more to the nav. bar later, just no need right now. I was thinking of taking someones idea of putting like a pacman image as the background to add some color, but I wouldnt wan it to slow the loading of the page and I also want it to be really faded. Can anyone find something for this? Smiling

I like the domain, and it suits that market I think.
