Site overall looks clean. Might want to change the logo up a little though. I really don't get the feeling the logo meshes well with the rest of the site. There are a few spots of dead empty space above "The Importance of Original Content" and below as well.

First thing I noticed is the layout is a bit off-center, leaning more to the left, at my resolution of 1024x768. Its good that you use a majority of white space but its a little too much of white going on. I agree that the logo needs a little more work and professional touch...
As far as the basic 3 column layout, it looks quite ok, links on the left in alternate bg color would look much better reduced and a the white space in between them reduced a little bit. compressing them makes them more organized looking...
Also one more tip, please be consistent with the font usage, you have serifs and times, at least choose one style of font, and be consistent on the content part and one very last thing... please also align boxes appropriately, check your paddings and margins, and rethink other elements that dont need those borders...
All in all, the page looks ok, a little tweak here and there would make it look more professional...

the first thing anybody would notice is exptra margin on left and top.
the center content area should be more wider than the left and right columns.
you may use some background color to make it more pleasant

White background is always sharp. The navigational menu is a bit too much. The same menu bar you have on the top, you have them at the bottom. I know most site used to be designed like that, but it seems too much of a repeatation. Overall, your site looks good.

Its nice clean looking website. I personally don't get on with serif fonts on screen - they really hurt my eyes, especially when they are so small.
I also think you need extra padding on the tables so that the text doesn't sit so close to the edge, this will break up the separate blocks of information to make them easier to read.
I can't tell whether it is a deliberate design descision or an accident that you have different coloured text on the pages.
I do like your logo, I think it is smart and attractive, navigation seems clear and well thought out.
I hope you find my comments helpful, good luck with what you are doing

I think you should use a different font for the main text on your site. Also, the 3rd column on the main page is right aligned? Why?

I'd condense the menu a little - try and get some of the adsense on the left hand side to be above the fold - you'll get greater click through that way. I'd also consider putting adsense where your affiliate window banner is - unless you are making good money from that. Put the two on rotation to compare how much you make

This site needs some work. It's a bit plain-Jane for me. While white is great to use, that seems to be the primary color here. You need some pizazz!
Also, the navigation is very long - try to condense that into 4 or 5 maximum links. Also, there is a ton of information on the front page - a ton! There has to be a way you can get this into some other pages and condense the front page into just the most important information.
So, what are we going to do? Condense and decorate! It'll jazz it up so much!

Thank you all so much for your feedback, I've taken it all on board and will definately be making some changes now.
I agree the navigation is too big, it just sort of kept on growing. I will see about reducing it.
I also agree that it needs 'something', i just wasnt sure what. I;ll make the changes and go from there, then come back for further review once the site is amended.
Thanks again

I like the site overall, love the article archive. However i would suggest to remove the hit counter it does not look professional and undermies your website. Also try chaging the font, experiment and see what works
Just my 2cents
