I think you have a really good site on your hands there. well laid out, logical menu and good use of logos to make navigating the long lists easy. The white background is pretty plain and most of the writing is in blue, but there is colour from the logos and stuff.
The only error that I could spot is on the house and garden coupon page the two boxes at the top that you can use to narrow the search to; sort by store / deals. these boxes are just a little too small for the words... really something very trivial!
All in all very well done, I just thought of a major ommission... a UK oriented collection (only because I am in the uk!!)
Good luck with what is a very nice, informative site.

It is a great site with lotsa info already. What I am wondering about is the hot coupons - when I click on a link it takes me to the site...do I need a coupon? How do I get one?
The other thing I was thinking is that it would be nice if the links to the stores opened in a new window. I would be interested in checking out the different deals and hitting that back button is a pain.
Great job!

This is a website critique. I will move it to the proper forum and close it until Cathey complies with the posting agreement and reviews some other sites.
Cathey - please send me a PM when you've done that so I can unlock the thread. Sorry, but we have to be strict about this otherwise there's too much abuse

From a user's perspective
Is the site attractive to you? Why/why not?
The site is definetely attractive. It's very simple and easy to use. The site has a lot of white space which feels very relaxed and not "pushy".
Is it easy to use? Can you find what you're looking for?
The site is really easy to use. All categories are layed out in a straight matter on the left hand site and the search box is present at the top of the screen.
I'd make the search box a bit more visible and move the email sign up box somewhere else to avoid confusion with the search box.
Do you understand what the site is about?
The idea of site is very clear from the name itself and once you visit the site you can't make no mistake about it. The logos make it even more clear.
If you were interested in this site's content, would you come back? Why/why not? If the site has a forum community, would you sign up and post? Why/why not?
I'd definetely come back, because the site is very intuitive and easy to use. Also the pages load very, very fast! Impressive.
From a designer/developer's persepective
colour scheme
I'd use a lighter shade of burgundy for the nav bar. I think the nav bar gets too much attention with that color.
common design principles (alignment, white space, visual organization etc.)
There is plenty of white space, just the way I like it. The content organized very well, and it's clear what is what.
usability
The site is easy to use and loads super fast (usually my biggest pet-peeve).
branding & marketing
The logo could have been nicer. It has this "amature" feel, even though the rest of the site looks very professional.
resolution
The site does not work in 800x600! I get a horizonal scrolling. There are 13% of all people still using that resolution (source). Judging by the content of the site, people who will visit are usually "bargain hunters" and will likely to have older monitors as well.

Cathey,
Well laid out.
But lots of functionalities, also try and reduce the resolution.
It's kool anyway.

You put a lot of work into this site! I thought it was very clear and easy to use. Every link that I tried worked and I was impressed with the speed as I went from one page to the next. Some spelling mistakes, but also a great deal of information. It was up to date and although I didn't go all the way through the process, the coupons seemed to be functional. The number of stores and coupons was extensive, over all a very good site!
