Looks nice, nothing special, but nice.

The uppper logo and the text to the right of it looks too much like zdnet.com, or were you going for that look?

Very nice! I like it a lot...

• A little too much blue space between the logo and the links on the right.

• The navigation heading is a TINY bit blurry, and I wouldn't have been able to tell if I wasn't critiqing it.

• Below the logo you have a pink line which does add more color, but not the right color. I would add something that would look like it fits in the page.

Overall it's very good, and I can't wait to see when you have it full of content!

I hope you know that you are in violation of the Extreme DM tracker law. (Look at the bottom) Otherwise, great site!

Well he's 1 of about 2 million people who use that "trick." Why not just use a CGI tracker/logger?

Yeah, and also - I believe that your host provides tracking statistics. I THINK...

I don't know what to say. IT is great.

  • I like the pink with the blue not sure why but I do.

  • Nice navigation.
  • Good use of colors allthough blue is overused on the net you make it look good.
  • Looks so good I bookmarked it which is hard to get me to do.(I don't bookmark much but this deserved it)

Hey, you don't need to get a pro to design your site, its already really good.
Only thing I can think of for content is more tutorials (javascript, dhtml, etc.)

    thanks travis,

I'm not sure whether to get a pro to design the site or not, There is something coming up in the near future which should make e-developers very popular and trafficated. So obviously i want to cater for the traffic with a great design, i want to go from "nothing special" to something very special. If you understand my drift.

Thanks for your suggestions for content, I'm working in association with a few other people to get more tutorials on different themes of the site.

    thanks,

    John

Very nice John, I see you do visit ZDNet and got some inspiration from them and it looks great. I like how everything is laid out and is very straight-forward. Keep up the great work.

thanks xrs , I didnt copy the zdnet way of putting the top bar, That was suggested to me by a friend , I think it is quite effective so I have no problems with it, Also quite different to the zdnet.

    Thanks for your reply,

    John

Yeah- very nice. You don't need to get someone to design it for you IMHO. Anyway- what's this big 'feature' that will make your site different from the rest?

    Well, that's certainly eye-catching!

Couple of things to consider- since this already doesn't fit in a 640 wide window I'd move the tools/articles boxes over into the blue band on the right side. It looks cluttered where it is now.

Or you could move them to the blue band on the left side, below the nav buttons.

I'd move the nav buttons a little bit closer together.

This is going to make a great layout if you can keep the load time reasonable.

    Nice job!
