Hey, all. I just did a redesign over at Cool Collecting because of a change in the direction the website was taking.

Hmmm...

I both like and dislike the look and feel of it. On one hand it's cleanly organized and layed out. But, I think there's too much information on that first page. Whenever I go to a site that presents me with too much at once, I almost always click out, because I feel like I want to have a seizure...

Can you possibly work with some color seperators to make all that text easier on the eye?

The site gives me a very slashdot-esque feeling, which is probably good because I can see you sharing the same audience. To be honest, this is not my taste at all, but I will give you props for creating a theme and sticking to it. The site is very consistant and well organized. You could probably keep the same effect, but improve the look of the header by using smaller pixels for the logo. Pixels that size look a little... (MS Paint Shop) Maybe try making them the same size as the pixels in your content boxes?

Also, you should have a margin for your list items - it looks weird when the second line to a list item breaks further left than the first line.

Another note: you need to integrate your bords section, that looks like the default phpBB style. You can easily get it to match the rest of the site.

Overall, not my style - but I think you have done a great job in creating a consistant professionally programmed website.

This Nuke theme is not very good. I don't like the "pixelated" idea. It's not bad, but the results aren't amazing. Maybe try to find another theme or mod one in a better way?

Not to mention the credits in the footehr don't show OK. Increase font size so that people can read.

Thanks for the input so far. I've made some changes that you guys recommended, while some I will have to wait until I have a bit more time.

F Stop, I'm not familiar with color seperators. What are those? Also, any ideas on what information is extraneous?

Nicora, thanks for the comments. I've changed the boards, though I also plan to change the graphics to some extent in there. I also modified the list of Reviews so it doesn't go back to the left. LMK what you think of those changes.

Also, I'm thinking that I will probably change the header as you suggested, but that will have to wait until I have a bit more time.

Good content, but I'm also not too sure about the "pixelated" theme. It's fine if you're trying to appeal to a 80's gaming audience, but you're probably not. Apart from that and a slightly intrusive colour scheme, your site looks absolutely fine in my opinion.

Tim,

I Think a little lighter background would make your site more pleasant.

The main part of the site is good in places, I think its the header image that needs some work Smiling Maybe make it a little smaller and less 'obvious' if you know what I mean.

Good luck!
