takes a very long time to load, I think its all that java going on in there.
first thing i had to do was go to the about page, couldnt figure out what the actually site was about.
All those penny links are an overkill
I like the blue stripes, adds a bit of flair to the look, but things like the ticker tape thingy is really annoying, i guess stock market people could handle it thou i suppose.

Don't try to do too much all on one page. Seems to me there's just a little too much of everything on your first page. This will also help to make your page load faster as it loaded slowly for me as well. Instead of having your navigation at the top, I would put it on the left and again at the bottom

Not bad but the penny this and penny that in your links makes it look "not serious".
I like how you have the link for the page that you are on in bold at the top. That is good. You should consider adding a rollover color to your links though for effects.
You have some extra meta tags on the first page. Didn't check the others. Lots of font tag errors too. Go to netmechanic.com and do a free HTML check on all of your pages and you will see what I am talking about. That way you can find errors yourself and be better able to correct them. I checked your home page there and it is reporting 117 errors.
Overall the site looks nice and clean though.

I agree with what's been said before and would add that I think you need a graphical logo as the one you have now in large text doesn't look so good and IMO it should go at the top, above the links to give the site an identity/branding.

Busy, Jack, Sonia, Julia,
Thank you all for taking the time.
I have tried to implement all your suggestions, except for the HTML part, I am very bad with HTML, and especially with meta tags. But anyway, please take a look now, and let me know what you think, and if the homepage is still heavy and takes too much time to download.

It looks okay at this point, but I feel that it could still use some improvement. First of all, try to avoid centering so many of your elements. It really just makes things look unprofessional. Another thing you should do is refine your colour scheme a little bit. If you look at the headers on the first page, some of them are red, some are dark blue, and some are the dusty blue you've used for the page background. I feel that this should be more consistent. The other pages do tend to look better in this respect.

I mean aligning things to center rather than using the default left alignment. Most of the headers and many of the content elements, particularly on the right side of your front page are centered.
Leaving things left aligned generally creates a sleeker, more organized look to things. Think about vertical and horizontal lines dividing your page into boxes. The edge of each element creates line across the page. If you did this, you'd notice that your page has a lot of lines drawn across it. This is because things aren't lining up with each other. If you try to simplify that, and reduce the number of alignment "lines" you'd get a more sophisticated look.
I'll try to demonstrate this with a screenshot later.

The layout and colours look great to me, You've done a very good job on your site. The only problem is the load time. If you could improve it by a few seconds that would be great.
I know you said you weren't great with html, but there are some errors I found in your code.. The common thing I found was missing font tags or empty font tags. You should fix these up..

Yes it would. It would make it easier for the browser to read the html if it didn't have a whole bunch of unessecerry tags.
It would also decrease the file size of the page.
