Wow! very nice, I like alot.
The only thing that might need a little fixing is the green color. It looks a little out of place. Change the color or add more green to the page. Good luck with your site.
BTW- This is my 100th post Laughing out loud

Sorry for being sceptical here, but it has to be said.....376 validation errors, however you were using frontpage, and everybody has their weaknesses.

However i'm not going to sway my judgement here, as you have a very clean, and to my belief a very clearly laid out site. To me it looks very professional, and given that I am not a dog owner, i was still inclined to have a good look around. Looks like you are building up a very useful database, which to be fair, that's all the dog lovers will be interested in, and of course be able to find it easily, which it looks like you have grasped well....

Cheers

Basically the web standards provided by w3 are the authoritative source on html, after all they developed it. Basically w3 are the grand daddy's of the internet.

Compliance with standards has always been around, although a minority voice with IE deciding to interpret html with it's own rules. However with so many browsers today that interpret html exactly as it should be, valid code is becoming more important to guarantee that these next generation browsers display your page properly.....although awareness of this fact is limited!

Because apparently, web standards is the way of the future Sticking out tongue

Validating your code helps to get rid of a lot of problems that you may be having at the time of development.
Also, having good code makes it more accessable across more platforms.

The links on the left column are black (text colour), very confusing as the top link 'register your dog' is blue like the other links on your page.
Ok not all the blue text are links - very confusing, so your catch phrase is proving correct.
The phrase "sniff the information out", to me sounds like I have to go looking for the information instead of you making it easy for me, maybe a rephrase? Something like "We sniff the information out" (it's late lol)

On the profile pages you could give a bigger image (via the thumbnail), also the email address shouldn't be linked (clickable), instead should be written in gabbled javascript to hide the common items (like @, ., com ..) so email bots don't have xmas all over again on your site collecting addresses.

Having a real hard time navigationg this site with the blue text and black links - I give up

If this is your first attempt, then you are definately moving in the right direction!

The site is clean, simple and fast, everything a site should be. It is worth correcting the validation errors and I would recoimmend not using FrontPage as it does screw up your code.

Overall I think you've made a cracking start! Laughing out loud

Best thing you can do is stop using Frontpage, it'll write invalid code, you'll fix it then - as Frontpage is written with only morons as its target market - Frontpage will change your code to be invalid again!
