Do i have the coolest web design site or what?
i know this isnt the coolest, it probably accually sucks, but i like the design i made and was just wondering if its good and if the color scheme works. this is like the 12th time i've redone the layout since ive been working on the site so im hoping that it works. none of the links or content is there yet,i just need opinions on the graphical layout and colors, thanks
chris.

Nocontent,
The color scheme looked good, layout was nice. I didn't really like the font you used in the blue colored area across the top and light blue links, I think, would look better if there was some sort of roll-over effect.

I like it! I think it looks really sharp.
I don't like the font in the blue area either. I think it just doesn't fit the rest of the site.
The only other thing I have to add is to watch the columns. The second column is a little to close the first. Feels crowded.
Good job.

It looks very good to me. The only thing I can suggest is add a little more color to the rest. All the color is in the top which makes my eyes feel weird.
I like your logo. Very nice!
Oh and Excite.com always sucked.

I'll make this quick...
1) I like the font of the logo, but the rest of the fonts stink. Change them to like Verdana or something.
2) The logo symbol looks like the one from Xoom.com
3) You're exluding people with 640x480 resolutions.
4) Interesting articles. Excite sucks. Netscape 6 isn't good. How bill gates toppled. Amazon's terrible interface. Anything nice to say?
Overall it's not bad...

I like the color scheme, blue on orange is a really good choice.
Your NoContent logo looks like the STOP button on the browsers (and like Xoom.. which makes me want to hit the STOP button on my browser..)
Also I like the 'quote of the week'. Overall good color choice and looks to be a good layout. No problems I could see except for that logo.
Good luck with your site!

Something here is not quite right. I think it's because the blue part seems to be holding the headers and stuff with a lot of structure, but then everything else is just hanging underneath it. You should find a way to put a border around the content area so it doesn't look like that. The content should also be moved a little bit away from the edges of the table.
The main content area should be as long, if not longer than the left and right columns. Either put more of that article in there, or add little previews and links to other features.
I agree about the similarity to xoom's logo - that should definitely be changed
Those are my main complaints on this one. I like the basic design at the top - blue and orange look really good together. THe blue cutout part at the top is interesting too.

hey, ok so i updated the page, and i've changed the fonts a bit, also i've changed the logo to a circle with a cross through it, it's surprisingly more appropriate (goes with the whole NO Content theme). other than that everything's stayed the same. The middle column will definately be longer than the rest, as it is the daily update, and will have 7 days worth of news. The text there now is just placeholder. So i need to know if the new fonts work, if they are too big, too small, or what, and if the site looks any better.
thanks so much, to everybody, please keep sending crituiqes, i need them.

I think that the fonts look good. But I liked the hovers before when they turned orange instead of white - it added more color.
About the columns, it's okay that the middle column is wider, but look at your blue bars (left, middle, right). Now look at the text underneath them. Do you see how they are not lining up with the blue bars? That's what seems to be the problem to me.
Good job - I like the new logo!

The new logo looks much better. A universal "no" sign goes well with a "nocontent" site
The only other problem I saw was that the 'misc' logo was very squashed in the menu until I put the mouse over it.
Cant wait to see what the site looks like once the other links are up. Good luck!
