Howdy. I recently redesigned http://digitalart.org

Could you please take a look and let me know what you think?

Thanks.

Very cool site. I just spent about a half hour looking at all the artwork. Very cool! I like the dark colors you used. It goes good with the site I think. On the front page I think I might move the "News/Updates" and "Weekly Polls" over to the right. Right when I got to the page thats the first thing I noticed. I think the first thing to notice should be your logo, the main catagories, or the links on the left. Not the news or polls Smiling Just my thoughts. Not to much to critique. Looks good!

I like it...

1) Just a small thing, but I think this will help: try moving the copyright statement from below the left side menu to below the content of the page. It's too distracting in its current position.

2) The news scroll thing doesn't work very well in IE5. I push down the the buttons and they disappeare. I don't think that's what their intention is Smiling

3) In the category pages, why is it then when I put my mouse over a link a black box appears. I don't see the point of this.

Other then that I really like the design. The main page is very clean and organized for one that displays a lot of the content of the site. Nice...

Looks very good.

- I love the colors they look great. A lot of web sites use blue though.

- It's a nice clean design.

- The other thing is I like the logo. It looks great!

I like the logo, great font used and nice colours. The menubar is pretty good, but I would definetly use a different font for the menu elements. I find it hard to read them without squinting.

One thing I really like is the thumbnail feature you have for each graphic. I am not sure how compatible it is with other browsers (I am using IE 5.5), but it is really useful and timesaving (especially when you have a slow connection like myself)

I like Justin's idea about the copyright info. Maybe like what you had in your previous design.

Rob-
I don't like IE5.5 I use it at work and it messes things up. Wanna see what mean? Visit my site (http://atomicpixels.com and play with the nav bar across the top. IE5 works fine, but IE5.5 seems only work when you rollover the borders. acts funny....

Hi,

I also wondered what the little black boxes were for. Then I just happened to leave the cursor on one of them and I found out Smiling

I think it's a great idea. Can you please explain a little bit about how's it done? Does the CGI create the thumbnails or do you go through each umage to create the thumbnail yourself?

The design is very good. The colors are a bit too dark for me, but I guess they do complement the subject matter.

Good Luck,

Anat
