Think I've seen it before..
Your scrollbar is too long.
I don't like the colorscheme.
but hey, everything works, no dead links, and all the pictures are there.
Okay, you seem to be unaware of some of the basics of web design. It's good to have a consistent look and feel for your whole site - every page should look the same. You should have a link back to the home page on all of the other pages (using the logo graphic as a link works fine). Oh! "News" is your homepage - you should label that "home" instead so it makes more sense to people. It's also a bad idea to have really long pages
Speaking of your logo, it's way too big. It takes up almost the entire height of screen at 640 x 480. Make it much smaller.
At first glance I really didn't understand what your site was about. That weather thing up in the corner really confused me (and what city is that weather for anyway? It certainly isn't 74 degrees here!). Okay, the URL up there is my-dallas.com so I guess that explains it...
I'm getting some broken links too - from the "archives" page only the "news" link works....

Overall it needs some work.
Thanks for the reply and the critique.
When you are speaking of consistent look do are you refering to Tales from the Birdhouse? If so I have been trying to figure a way to make it consistent and still maintain some sort of 'jailhouse' feel to it.
As for the archives section I have not yet updated the header and footer file with the new code for the layout. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Will get on that asap.
I have also been trying to figure out how to let visitors pick a city for the weather so I have been hesitant to label what I have there now.

I would just take that weather thing out - there are tons of other places people can go on the net to find weather and it really doesn't have anything to do with what's on your site.
From skimming around it seems like this is a good idea for a community based website. It really needs more development in terms of design an usability though. Check out http://coolhomepages.com - take a look at the Ultra Hip, Futuristic, and Experimental sections. You need something funky like that.

Some pretty damn cool sites there but I do not see any that I would really call a "Homepage". Most, if not all, of them are commercial sites with who knows what resources and manpower. Which I wish I had. Hehe.
