Hmm... it's taking me awhile to find anything wrong with this site - it looks really good to me.

One thing is that on the "run info" pages you have the navigation bar right at the very top of the screen, while on most of the other pages it is located below a heading. It's kind of disorienting....

Your logo/header looks great on the main page, but I don't think it looks very good when it's shrunken down on the sub-pages. Maybe you could find another option ???

Lastly, I don't know about that pink.....

Oh, sorry, one more thing - couldn't you make the application an actual form that can be submitted through e-mail?

Site looks great. Only one thing I would change. I would add the nav bar to the bottom of the pages also and then put the text links along the bottom in one row.

9/10

Note to Carolyn, Banner looks great.

Thanks Megs & Jim,

I sorta agree with Megs on the nav bar on the "run info" pages. By the nature of the content of the pages though, wasn't really sure whether a heading would be more of a distraction than the way it was done. Any ideas? An alternative would be to put the nav bar at the very top of all the pages.

BTW, the logo was designed by Carolyn Jones, the moderator of this forum. Carolyn and I have discussed having a smaller logo, just hasn't happened yet.

Ah yes, the pink! Actually, that color is pretty much the color that is on the brochure that is produced by the Committee. It could probably be toned down a bit.

Yes, I could of did the application with a form, but the Committee didn't want to do that this year. Next year, it will have that option. Coming soon will be an online store for stuff, so by next years run, should be able to email application and pay with credit card or online check.

Jim, hafta think about the nav bar at bottom also. It would be a convenience though, especially on some of the longer pages.

Howdy,
Lot of new names since my last visit. Need a final evaluation for a web site I've been working on.

All of the site is designed for 640 except for some race results which is in 800. Was done on purpose. As far as I can tell, it views about equal in IE or NS.

Let me know

prefontainerun.com

btw JP, the rollovers are still green;) University of Oregon colors

Well I don't have time for a big review as I'm rushed Sad (sorry)
- a lot of balck space at either ends of the nav bar
- look at title of the page:

- on the same page I would right align the right img.

Gonna be adding a store in next month or so. The link for that will fill the nav bar up real nice.

Looked and looked and was just about ready to ask, "what the Phot you talking about, JP" Wink and then I found it.

Thanks

Very nice. Only one suggestion: the margins on the central white area with the content are too small. Either increase the margins and leave some white space before the yellow bars on the side, or simply make the whole page white.

Nice, clean design, nice logo... content is a little thin, but I assume you're working with what you're given.

You know what's so weird? i had never heard of Steve Prefontaine until I reveiwed this site last week. Then, on Saturday I was walking through a record store here in Waterloo and the movie about him was right at the front of one of the video racks. Interesting coincidence!
