Hi,

There were so many things wrong with my website that I designed a new one. I have only done the home page until I get your comments and see if I should proceed. So, please give me your thoughts.

I take it you don't have photoshop, but if you do, a gradient for the background of the navigation would be nice.

You know where you have the words "Welcome to our site!" that sounds bad, make it a little more professional, "Welcome To KB Designs"

The layout looks a lot better than your last one;)

The orange navigation bg and the solid blue doesn't look to great together, sort of hurts your eyes.

I noticed you did implement a couple suggestions you have recieved so far. Nicely done, they were right on! The page actually looks pretty nice, not bad. Ona 1-10 scale, I give it a 6.8, which isnt bad at all. If I were going to change anything, I would eliminate some of the block look you get with it. I prefer a few curves to offer flow to the edges in places. Or maybe the dark perimeter is whats bothering me here, im not sure. Cant put my finger on it exactly.

Also, I might offer a little pop, but keep the simpleness to the nav bar. Maybe a neat simple passover effect or something would be nice. I wouldnt go too far with that though, you might ruin the ease to the page which it does offer and that is good! It loaded well.

Outside of that, you are on the right track. Good luck.

war Cheers!

I had a last minute thought, if you do eliminate the dark border, you might consider a vertical nav bar along the left side, possibly. You can simply tinker, usually when i tinker i come across the answer and find a solution to the little things.

Oh and another thing..lol. sorry. I dont know if you have photoshop, but the vertical pics might look a tad nicer if they had a slight drop shadow behind them, just gives them a slight rasied look and tends to offset the flatness to the page. If you dont have photoshop and chose to do that, let me know and i can make those for you for nothing and send them back to you.

I think the colors work horribly with each other. But other than that, it looks pretty good.

Blue and Orange... one of my fave colour combos (after orange and grey!).

You know where you have "Minnesota LemonTwist Snowball Designs "? Well Try putting a linebreak between them so it appears as:

Minnesota LemonTwist
Snowball Designs

Will look a little tidier in my opinion. Also, the custom art page pushes out wider than the header... looks a little strange when the other pages are all the same width.

Thank you all for the suggestions, I will get to work on them. No, I don't have Photoshop but I hope to get it one of these days.

I am not sure what is meant by the dark border? Is this the background color you are talking about?

Thanks I will start experimenting. P.S. I saw you are a photographer, I could use you in Minnesota.

I'm new to this game but I really like the colour combinations on the home page.
See you already implemented some of the previous comments.
General comment - don't like the red text on "home & garden" plus some of the highlighted links.

Good luck
Al

The dark blue is not very good on the eyes. You may wish to try some other colors.
