OK guys. Here's a complete new design. Any comments? Is it better now?

Uhg- I'm going to have to say I don't like this one very much at all.

The #1 problem I see in your site is the lack of a good logo. Since I have seen about 5 different versions (all unsuccesfull) I would go to a designer and ask them to create exactly what you want.

The second problem I see is the rest of the images: they are jagged. I don't know what image editing software you use, but in Adobe Photoshop it creates very nice looking curves, etc...

The design isn't all that bad, but I do have a few comments. First, the area where you have the joke is very untidy and unorganized. I've said this before, and all you have to do is find a way to fix it. Second, I like your bottom part that says "Copyright etc. etc. etc." If you could use that look for the rest of the page then you're ready to go.

I think it's better, anyway. You've got four different shades of blue on this page - match the bottom bar to the left side menu. It would probably be a good idea to extend the left menu background all the way down the page to meet up with the copyright bar.

I would also try extending the blue across the top of the page, and putting the ad banner either on the colour or above it. The ad needs to be separated from the rest of the page somehow.

On the other pages, I actually think that the content table shouldn't have that white space around it. Those colours don't exactly work either.

I still think you need to organize your miscelaneous junk content better - put them in nicer tables with coloured backgrounds. Better yet, lose the joke altogether. If people want jokes there are many, many other places to go.

You must have a lot time to all those redesigns

You now have two logos. You will haver to get rid of one of them.

See my post in the other topic. I didn't know you made a new one.

I'm done a small modification to the current design. It's at: http://www.goodbookmarks.com/testing/

Do you think I should go back to my old "red and grey" design?

Yeah- I like it better with that menu up top, but I think you should seperate each link with something...

I liked it - that is, the first one you listed at the top of the post. I've been following along on all your changes for a while. It looks a lot cleaner and is a different look than the old one, which seems similar to a lot of sites. I agree - you need a catchier logo, and to clean up the curved edge. The bottom part needs organizing so there's not such a big empty space.

I still liked the older designs better but this one is more original and seems like you're getting the hang of it

As far as the modified design, that is looking better with the menu on top but try to organize your entire page better...

I've done a rearrangement on the front page. Does it look better now?

It's still not right, IMO. That maroon totally doesn't go with the blue. You keep having problems chosing colours that match. Pick two or three, plus white. Put them in a basic four-celled table in your image editor or in an html page. Ask yourself whether you would leave your house wearing that colour combination. If you don't know, ask your mother, girlfriend, sister, whatever - someone who would know.

The logo is also a problem - that G looks very fuzzy. Have you tried playing around with dingbat fonts? That might be a solution. There's a good article about using dingbats here: http://webreference.com/graphics/column18/. Unfortunately my favourite dingbat download link is no longer working (i-us dingbats... I hope that's temporary). Another solution is to just play with text a little bit - overlap, change the font, size and colour of words until you get something that looks good.

There are a couple of other little problems here, but those two are the most important IMO. I'm glad to see that you got rid of some of the clutter, and I've always thought that you have an excellent navigation system. A search function would be a good thing to add in the future.
