No real content as yet, but the site layout and navigation is all there.

1) The logo needs some work. It needs some pizzaz or something. Right now it's too small and blah.

2) The menu is pretty cool. Nice big letters, and the image flips give it some flavor. But, why does it say "About You"? Are you making it that way so when the person reads it they say "About You" which means -er- you?

3) The design and layout is clean, which is good. The frames are ok, though the same effect could be accomplished w/o frames.

Well, I'm laughing, and not at the design. Very clever, btw.

The images are a tad rough on the rounded edge of the frame. It looks like you tried to fix a jagged curve. I have found that a tight blur tool will perform the anti-aliasing (and a steady hand). It definitely need smoothing.

I want the bottom half of the logo to do something. I think in general it shouldn't be raised like that -- it throws it off. A flatter look like the 'Web Design' would be better, in my opinion (and my opinion only).

The heading is clear, and it looks like it will be easy to find information. I agree that the effect can be achieve without frames, but I think it is appropriate here. You aren't going to have a large site, it looks like, just the six pages? The check mark marking where I am in the site is super-duper, especially given the frames situation. Very user friendly.

Whoops, what is the first page? I can't seem to get anywhere that doesn't have a check mark once I start looking. Make that logo go back to the first page (even if it's the same as one of the other sections) or have the little checkmark start on one of the tabs.

    hth,

    Suzanne

    Thanks so far.

Logo - not sure exactly what you can do with only half a dot I wanted to do more, but no brilliant ideas come to mind (half a mind?).

Justin - about YOU is a reaction to the usual about US. Intent is to have text emphasize that it's the customer we're interested in, not v/v as it were.

Suzanne - thanks for those kind words. The blurry edge. Yup, I know - it looks worse with your favourite browser but it's still raggedy with mine. I got a little careless building it and know exactly how to fix it ... but if everybody here convinced me to drop the interface arrangement, then why go for perfection just yet?

The 'first page' is going to be gone one day, so you'll arrive at the About You page for starters, c/w the check mark.

The logo (top left) should definitely be a link to something ... maybe about ME

I agree that your logo doesn't quite do it.

A suggestion would be to have the logo look just like the mouseover dots - without the black line separting the two halves. That might make it look better.

Nice job, I also like the 3-D. I see that you have the yellow highlight and then blue links at the bottom. How about using some of the red that's in your logo instead?

I don't like the dots on mouseover. They just don't seem to make sense - probably because of conflicting 3D effects or too much of them in that area. I like the checkmark though - that looks good. Hmmm... maybe it's because the dot is too big - too close to touching the edges of the boxes. Maybe a small half circle would work better.

It's interesting to see a site that has really made good use of 3d effects. Too many sites with 3D just look tacky and outdated. I also really like the colour scheme - the shades of teal look good together and it's a unique choice of colour.

The logo should link back to the home page.

    That's it for me!

Edit: I don't think it's small and blah.

Logo looks like that poke'mon stuff.

The site looks a lot like Brian's scubadive one he posted here a few days ago. It looks good to me. I don't like the colors very much though. Well time to eat dinner. I will come back later and review Jackchen's.
