I think the overall design looks catchy but the problem that I have is with the help section. I don't know too much about tickers, and your help section just explains how to copy and paste to my website. Can I change the content that streams through the ticker, or does it just come up with stuff that you programmed it to. I don't know if that is a dumb question but maybe you could explain that somewhere on your site.

I like the look of the site and really my only comment would be that there isn't enough information on exactly what the hot threads are about, is there any way to choose, what countries is it relevant to, what sites will these threads be from, etc???
You also have no meta tags on the page, are you going to be adding these? Also you have no alt tags on your images. Both of which are needed to get the search engines interested in the site.
Could you also help us out here and participate in some of the other threads requesting critiques, a fresh pair of eyes is always of great value.

I need a fresh pair of eyes after looking at that yellow background. It is awful in my opinion. It conflicts also with the yellow that you are using around your bubbles (or blurbs). Incidentally, I don't think that I have ever seen one upside down like you have in discuss marketing. Not really much there to review except the color scheme and layout.

Yes, that yellow is definitely too much - maybe if you're running at 800 x 600 it would be okay, but at 1024 there's just too much of it.
Another problem I have with this is that your domain name doesn't seem to relate to your site topic. discussmarketing.com seems like it would be a discussion forum about marketing or something like that, not a service offering "hot threads". I would try to do something about that.
I like the way you've used the speech balloons - they do a good job of demonstrating what your site is about.
Yeah, the yellow is too much. I looked at this first thing this morning and waited until I was sufficiently caffiened. It is still too much.
Some navigation problems as well. Your "get code" page, as well as the browser specific help pages have no way home. Actually, your Mac page doesn't appear to exist at all.
I also think you need to better describe the product. Things are a little unclear.
The product concept of the delivery is very unique and interesting. I'd like to see a FAQ because I'm sure their are some.
I would want to know that if I linked to you that subjects in my forum might appear. I'd want to know some statistics and minimums. Otherwise, I'd feel that I wasn't getting much return on advertising your site.
The site itself is a little dated. I have run into this remark about myself, too. I suspect you are "chipping away" at those items like myself.
I'll be very interested to see where you take this.

Like the site, looks very nice. It's a bit orange though.
Didn't really know what it was trying to "sell", it looks like one of those annoying popup windows you get when surfing about, im afraid to say that if I saw that I would just close it down straight away.
Perhaps, dare I say, a little less in your face would bring the page more attention? also some kind of preview of what your getting, and a list of sites that have it installed already to see what it looks like in the real world.
Over all I would say it's very nicely constructed, but would put me off as soon as it appears 6/10
Please tell me where im going wrong? It keeps coming out green......

Sorry, didn't actually register that it does have a preview of the code on the site (Duh.....) but still needs to be a little less camouflaged against all that "brightness" if you see what I mean?

cool, I,ve just found the worlds smallest get code box!
It really needs to be a little larger as its virtually impossible to see what the code is doing, something I like to do b4 I copy and paste anything into my site...
Great idea though, something I've never come across b4...
I'm suprised no one mentioned the stripes as i know stripes arent a hot item.
layout could be good if another color scheme was used, i use 800x600 and that yellow is "OMG get me outta here", at leats make the text black so it doesnt clash so much with the blue and yellow.
I think you need to sell it more in the opening text, I mean you can get news tickers free at any scripting site, why choose yours?
Also, as mentioned the help page needs a bit more than just ctrl c, ctrl v, how bout mention how its run, is it a java based (applet), is it a javascript, will it clash with my scripts i have already, will it work on older browsers .....
ok, i just found the coloured ticker page, but i have to pay $9.77 for it? hmmm maybe the first one wasnt free, whats the catch?
gotta change that yellow
