Color Crisis Pt. 2 - Please Review Contest Hound
Hello all.
I really thought that the lime green was such a nice "retro" color! lol But alas, I have updated the colors to blue and yellow.
Could you please review the site now that the colors are less, shall we say, ugly, that's the word.
Could you please also comment on layout and navigation. To see the ugly colors link to any area other than the contests.
Thanks always for you considerate comments.

Overall this just looks kind of boring to me. It's not bad by any means - it's just not all that exciting IMHO. Try using more colour, and make the logo bigger (a more exciting look would be good for that too). By entering contests a person is taking a chance, so it would be good if your website reflected that - something more bold and daring. Make the hound really big, overlapping the navbar a bit maybe. The hound thing is just sort of there right now - it should stand out a lot more. THink about what you can do to expand on that theme.
Oh, and it would be really, really nice if you could tell your visitors who is eligible for these contests. As a Canadian I find a lot of online offers aren't available to me because I'm not from the US, so it would be nice to know up front if I can enter something or not.

I like the menubar. Your site have a lot of white space. You could fill in the left and right bars with some light colours?

First of all...don't open up two topics for one site. I am going to go close the other one as soon as I finsih this.
I think it looks very good. Just kind of plain. I think you need to add more color.
There is nothing else wrong it looks good.

Sorry about opening up a new thread, that was an accident. I thought I hit reply but obviously I didn't. Sorry again.
Thanks for the reviews everyone, I do appreciate all the comments.
The logo ideas a great, I will work on it over the next little while. I also want to add something that denotes contests are open for Canadians. I at first thought a Canadian flag but changed my mind since it might appear that ONLY Canadian can enter which most likely is not the case. Maybe just a symbol and a legend idea. Do you think that would be appropriate?
I agree with the comments about the white space but I am not sure how and where I should be adding the colour, or what colour for that matter. I will try out a few things but if you have any suggestions I would be greatful.
Thanks again for all your comments.

You should put a flag for all the different countries the contest is available to.

To amke it less white, maybe in some of your cells, add a light grey or something of that effect to make it look better : )

Thanks so much for your comments, I think I have implemented most of your suggestions. I have added a bit of color to liven it up a bit, enventually I added the Canadian Flag after all (95% of traffic is US so I decided not to add other flags) and I am slowly working on a new image for the logo.
If you get the chance to check it out let me know what you think about the changes.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
