This website definitely got my attention; it has a good vision and name. My suggestion to you would be to possibly add color to the background or different color lettering, and to also make the exclamation marks something people can click on to get in. You could add movement to the exclamation marks or make the setup to the page bigger. Instead of small and up at the top, it could be all over the screen so it will be more appealing to the eye perhaps. The setup is easy to use and also to understand. It’s a great site!

Thanks I appreciate your feedback. Yeah I've noticed that too, the site (when viewed on a larger screen than mine) is right up at the top and too small. I will be fixing this by adding simple news feeds just underneeth the current content. Also, although your idea about the exclamation marks is pretty good, I couldn't implement this as half of the stuff mentioned is member-only and couldn't be linked to without resulting in a 403 error.
The designed has been well-revised, and this is the result. I aim to restyle the H tags as they are a little boring right now. I am currently working on a new chat system, as the one I have is powered by Bowob and although I like it, I've always preferred my own brand of applications, so I'm building my own.
Thanks for your kind words, this site has taken me a long time to build and perfect, and any webdesigner will know that good feedback is few and far between, so thanks

Right away without reading your description of what the site is about. The first page of the website is unclear what the site is about. It almost like the site is missing its theme or niche.
Layout is nice and clean, easy to navigate, links are seo friendly.
The forum categories are good but I would work on making the first page theme clear otherwise you will have a high bounce rate.

Come to think of it, I see exactly what you mean about it being unclear... It tells users what they can do, but not what the site is actually for. Thanks for bringing my attention to this... It's quite a novice mistake, really :/
Thanks for your feedback. Very much appreciated.

Hi I am quiet a novice myself but I will say how much I love this site, idea and design as a whole.
The colour scheme is eye catching without being over powering. The banner and logo's are just about right.
The only thing I would say is that the content and font size are larger than that of the menu buttons and banner. I found this very detracting. In some ways this is good as you do then focus on the content of the site but I also found that I wasnt drawn to the menu buttons to investigate further.
of course I could be talking complete rubbish but thought it was worth mentioning.
