Client Site
This a client's site I am designing, I haven't added secondary links, or a netscape sniffer for the iframe.. Just examine it on the basis of the design side of things.
Thanks.

I think a blue hover on the top links would look cool and give the site a mild red white and blue color sceem. the lay out is very good...

Actually, I think the layout needs work. Everything seems to be sort of scattered around - there's no strong alignment or sense of organization. Look at the shape of the white space here - you've got sort of an L-shape around the content area and I don't think that looks right. I would move the content area up to go below the navbar (and get rid of the frame while you're at it). I like the top part with the navbar etc. though.
You've also got two different logos on here - the one on the bottom left looks much, much better than the one with the bad bevels in the top right. Actually, I really like the look of that nice logo. It looks hand drawn, which gives it kind of a personal feeling, and the angles give it a feeling of movement. I would re-work the site design around that. Playing with the angles in that logo could produce some really interesting results.
I notice the 1-800 number on there - it makes me wonder what you mean by "all areas" - Being a Canadian I often find that it's difficult to determine whether services on the 'net are available to me. I mean, I've sort of come to assume that it's not available to me unless otherwise noted. I would say something on the front page about where this service is available.

Personally, I think the design is too big. This computer runs at 800x600 and I had a scroll bar at the bottom. If someone at 800x600 with ICQ docked was viewing the page they would only see about 3/4 of it without scrolling to the right. If I don't scroll to the right I can't see the second scroll bar for the iframe. I don't think that is good.

Shotaken - Well, I have taken courses. Please tell me what's wrong with it. That's what its posted there for. The colors are the company colors and cannot be changed..
Yes, I will definatly work on the size of the page. I'm not sure what "all areas" means myself.. I am canadian as well and will look into that. Also, I will try to add a touch of blue..they are an american company and they might like that .
I just threw the site together in a couple of days, I agree the organization needs work. i just wanted some input on how the site looks before I present the first draft of their site. Thanks everyone, I love critism..

Some people give very good critique's. I am afraid that Shotaken is not in that good camp. My advice is to simply review the site and not insult the web designer. After all if you make enough enemies, just wait till you post here.
Anyway, I do believe that the site needs some major work. Style-wise, I would lose the scroll bar in the middle of your page. It causes someone to focus on it when there is nothing really there. The site is just too plain with tons of white space and the red graphics. I don't know if this company already has a logo and that was the reason for the color but it is distracting. It appears that you have four totally different sets of graphics for OntheGo.

TFE-
Im apologize for being such a smart ass. You were just my vent for all the bad website designs I’ve seen....
Here are some of my suggestions. Some of them are repeats of what has already been mentioned:
1. The OTG logo in the upper right hand corner is overly drop shadowed. I would either redesign the logo, or get rid of the drop shadow all together.
2. If you have to use red, then also choose one of its complementary colors as well... Right now it is being way over used. As suggested above, maybe some blue would help.
3.The second tab with the striped lines needs to go. It makes “On The Go Cargo Incorporated” hard to read.
4.The text box also needs to go. The last thing you want the user to do is scroll down with in an already scrolling window.
5.As suggested above, change all your tables width to percent to prevent things from going off the screen. Rember, the standard screen size is still 640*480 (unfortunately).
6.The “On the go cargo” link is very, very hard to read with the red drop shadow. You should definitely incorporate the real company logo, which is maybe the one at the bottom left? If so, I would re-scan in a higher resolution and clean everything up to make it easier to read. Then optimize. It also looks very dirty. I can see little pixilated black specs all over the place.
7.I do like the idea of the first 2 drop down menus, but they need to be consistently going all the way across… where as now they just stop and the 3 remaining headers on the menu are just links.. You need to keep “the flow” going.
8.If your going to leave the tab in the upper right hand corner there, I would decrease its width so it will line up with the last menu header, “Agent information”
9.Meet with the client again and try to find the main purpose of this website. From my 1st impression I couldn’t figure out what they did, or even what the point of the website was. Try to make that more clear since the front page is the 1st place the user expects to find his/her information. As dumb as that sounds it holds very true. If they don’t find their information they might just leave, making the whole purpose of the website, pointless. Odiously not everyone is going to find what they are looking for on the front page each time, but try to stick with the 80-20 rule (go with the majority).

Again, I apologize for being so rude. I know if someone would have said those things to me I would have probably freaked out.
No hard feelings?
