You don't have any links? There is a big blank space beneath the links (Home, Our mission, Whow are we?) Dont' leave spaces.

No I don't have any links up yet. Remember I said all I had was the layout. Also the big blank spaces will be filled once I have content.. like I said.. all I have is the layout so far.

I like the design! Professional and clean looking.
I imagine the church will be very happy.

The only thing I might suggest (and this isn't a complaint) is the design may be a little wide.

Let us know when you get the content in.

gotta finish redesigning my sites so I can show them again.

The purpose of education is... to get more jokes!

This is close but not quite there yet IMO. There's a couple of odd things that prevent this from becoming a really good design. The first is the overlapping worship schedule box on the right side. That looks like someone stuck a sticky note on top of the page. Lose the drop shadow and bump it in so it's not lying on top like that. How were you planning on coding that, anyway? It'll be much easier to put together if it lines up with the photo box, possibly extending down to the bottom of the navbar. Definitely lose the drop shadow.

A second thing is the thin borders you've got here and there that just seem out of place. I'm talking about the black one beside the photo caption and the ones on top of and below the navigation menu.

Thirdly, the menu text looks a little fuzzy to me. And what is "whow"??

What's the phone number doing up in the top corner by itself? Put it together with the address. That top corner would be a good place to display the address & phone number so it appears on every page.

Another strange thing is the stripe that appears midway down on the left. What's up with that ??? I think it might work if it appeared on the other side too.

Finally, I think this would look a lot better if the outer background was coloured lightly, in pale grey or beige to match the schedule box.

Oh, one more thing - that menu at the bottom looks really cramped. Up the font size a bit and add some padding around it.

Overall I think this is a good design that could be great with a few modifications. I really like the logo and the colour scheme.

(sorry if I sound snarky Smiling)

Thanks. Those were all great suggestions. A lot of the things you said I had thought about doing myself anyway. I didn't realize I put "Whow" lol.. typo. The only thing I'm not sure about is the schedule thing. I kinda liked it looking like a sticky note type thing, but when my brother looked at the site, that's the only thing he said too (that it shouldn't be stuck on top like that). I'll see what some other people say, but more than likely I'll just change it. Thanks again.

Good design, clean, professional....I think that you are on the right track.

One thing that did surprise me is how diplomatic everyone was with their reviews…..is that something to do with the content of the site?

I didn't notice anything different from any other critiques I've read. Confused

Ok I changed it up a little. Not much at all.

I'm still not done, but I haven't had much time to work on it b/c I've been on vacation. The links still aren't links, and the content I have on there right now will probably change... but just to show how it looks w/ content I put it on there.

Very nice ... most church sites that I've seen are very poorly designed but thank goodness this one doesn't fall into that category. Good work.
