I don't have much time, but I would like to say there is alot that needs to be done. Also, the websitegarage doesn't really "see" your site, it only checks the HTML (spelling, dead links, etc...).

Ok. WebSiteGarage only looks at the HTML code, so a site could look great but get all "poor" ratings. Or vice-versa. Here is what I think:

1) your HTML is very messy! clean it up so anyone looking at the HTML can actually understand what the code says.

2) you need some good graphics.

3) websitegarage says you are using iframes, but i can't see that you are. if you are, then that limits the site to IE visitors only. BAD IDEA!

4) your site is 70kb which makes it take a long time to load. you don't need so many images, i can't even make out that many images?!?!?!?

5) the link popularity part of websitegarage just means your site gets 0 hits Smiling j/k

6) the right cell in your table is wide enough, but the text is squished.

7) you should link the text not the little bullets.

Your HTML is really messed up. You have attributes in some of your tags that the tag doesn't support. This will confuse many browsers.

Too many images on the opening page???? That is the one I'm redoing etc....the rest will come later. I took off almost ALL my images on there? I only have one picture and two banners...and I tried making them as small as possible...??
I don't know what you mean by iframes? Don't know what you mean by 'messy html'. I don't know much about html so I went out and spent $140 for Front Page to do it for me.
If I link the 'words' instead of the 'bullets' I didn't think it looked very nice....?? Blue underlined text.....?? Is that what I should do anyway??
Maybe I'm too much of a beginner to be in this discussion forum. I don't have the knowledge to make a professional site. So maybe I should just be happy I have a site and not care about critiquing....<smile>

me again...one more thing. I just downloaded IE. Not sure what happened.
I made my site w/front page. Uploaded it to ISP. Viewed it w/Netscape and it looked the same on front page as it does on Netscape. But now that I have IE and looks nothing the same......What causes it to change. Is there a place for me to learn what I did wrong to cause this? AND learn how to fix it?
Thanks! Sandi

Well your not in the wrong forum, cuase everyone is welcome here! Smiling Yep, I thought it was MS Frontpage. It spits out really messy HTML. If you don't want blue underlined links then change the color of them using Style Sheets. IE and Netscape make pages look totally different. MS Frontpage doen't help either. As you can see, it put IFrame tags that only work in IE in your HTML when you didn't even want them. I would reccomend using Frontpage for the layout, but once you got that I would code everything by hand.

Thank you for trying to help me....But I use FP because I don't know how to code by hand. <smile>. Guess its time to start reading up, I'll hit Barnes and Noble this weekend.......Maybe I'll have a webpage next year. UGH...back to the drawing board!

Skip the trip to Barnes and Noble. (Nothing personal Smiling )

Instead try some tutorials. My favorites are
1. Our own John Pollocks at pageresource.com
2. Jason Barta's at http://junior.apk.net/~jbarta/index.html

Lots less money and more productive IMHO

Hope this works for you.

I've gone thru a ton of different tutorials so I understand the basics....but that knowledge attained is just not helping me fix "my" webpage problems. I'll look at those pages too though.....
