Hi

This is a new Book review site. I do not have a great collection of books right now, but the site is anyway on.

Please let me know how the uploading time is.

Also, does the site look pleasing enough.

Do the ads look tempting enough?(to be clicked! )

The link to the site is http://xooxonline.info

Took a quick and mean quick look at your site.

1) Get a structure happening. Looks like everything was thrown into place.
2) I see so many sites not using graphics. Eye Candy is important if you don't have alot of content.
3) Looks like you work for Ads from Goooooglleeeee . Do you really need the money that bad? Thats a hint that I felt you want me to leave your site for ads
4) I'm not a fan of 100% width sites. Thats just an opinion. I keep all my sites to a max of 750 pixels wide. Just a suggestion as you don't have tons of content.
4) I never used tags before. Oh and your using the browsers default font. eek!

my 2 cents Smiling good luck with your site Smiling

the ads look too much like ads.

make them as neon as you want, 99.9% of visitors will just tune them out. Make the ads fit with the webpage. same colours. put them in the middle of reviews so they don't look as much like ads.

We all have to start somewhere.

Your website needs more structure and organisation. Keep it up. The content is good

Hi all
After reading your fonts, I have remade the layout for my index page; http://xooxonline.info . Does it look better now.

PS: I have set my font to CBT; however no matter how much I tried, the first para abt '5 things to do before purchasing online' appears different'..

also, what should i do to ensure that everyone gets the letter in CBT font only.

Much much better than the first one, why not use regular fonts like verdana, keep the font sizes equal, use strong texts sparingly... Still the banner area is a little blank, need to create a logo to have an identity...

Actually found CBT really fitting my page. Demonhale, if I were to continue with the same font, how should I make my page universally visible the same way. Will making a copy of CBT from the fonts to my server sufficient.?

Regarding the logo, I'm working on it. btw, I would like to know if marquees would look good, or wil it give it away that I'm a newbie to websites..?

Dish the marquee, use some dhtml or in a much special case javascript... marquee html commands are depreciated, Using your own font and uploading it in your server wouldnt do you much good, because not all system will see you font. You see your font now on your web pages because it is there already in your System, so it is rendered correctly, but be warned that those system without your font on their machine would see the default Times New Roman on Your SIte...
