The Beta Release of dLo.net
Hey, it's been a while since I've submit my site for a critique, but you guys do it oh so well... Let me explain to you my situation...
About 4 months back I decided to make a web portal for the younger generation. I got top noch software from everyone, UBB, Links and all that jaz. I had all kinda of scripts to do stupid stuff you can do on about any other site on the net. I really didn't have any content so the site failed like the acting career of Micheal J. Fox.
Here is where I am now. Instead of using other people software I intergrated it all into my own scripts that all work fairlery well together. I say fairly because I haven't really tested them much.
What I want to find out is if it is possible to log in as other users using 'dishonest' means. I also want to find out if it is possible to view other people private messages(The site has private messeging witch opens the door for instant messaging software).
If anyone has any free time and wants to check it out please respond to me on this forum and or send me a private message.
Please don't harras me about the site not having any point... It is more of just an experment to see what kind of software I can design. For you information everything is written in MySQL and PHP3.
Thanks in Advantce,

The top orange bar has gone over the line.
And do I see frizzy edges for the "D" logo?
Overall, it looks quite plain to me. But the color combinations are OK.

Goodbookmarks.com - Tired of search engines returning links with no content or bad design? Then GoodBookmarks.com is your solution. All sites listed have at least a decent design and rich in content. And most importantly, they're all worth a BOOKMARK.

Well first off, I'd just like to say that I liked your old design better, but oh well...
1) The "not logged on" part is overlapping the green right side bar. I would move it back onto the black area.
2) The orange bars dividing the main content area arn't the same width. I think it would look more organized if they were the same.
3) The logo is really jagged. I would anti-alias it. You might also want to write the whole name of the site: dLo.
4) I'd also make some type of bullet or something for each link on the side menu.
Overall I think it just needs to be touched-up, and I think the colors are actually pretty cool.

i like the orange you use on your site, i wonder why?......
1) on the sign up form, set the size of the submit button because it looks unprofessional when everything "jumps" into place
2)it looks good

I love it all! The logo looks a little jagedy though. IT IS AWESOME OTHER THAN THAT!

Thanks for the design tips guys. I think my old design was much more professional. However, I do those kinds of design for profit.
I was looking to see if anyone could find any bugs in the site. I created about 4000+ lines of code to run the forum and messenging and the open source webpage and all the pointless stuff I put on there. Has anyone found any bugs, security holes?
