Looks Ok at the moment, good job!

I think the updated texts at the top is misplaced... and there shoulod be some space on the texts at the bottom, ot balance out the texts with the images... Play around with the title texts too, and I think a splash of a solid single color will give the site personality... just my .2

Looks good overall. Nice layout, good navigation, good design.

One problem I see is that the WELCOME is bigger than the site title. So where am I? I just see WELCOME until I start really focusing on the elements. People should know where they are right away. The site title could be moved up where the last updated date is (no reason why that should be the first thing a person reads on the page!). Then you could move the introduction paragraph up onto the image where the Welcome text is now.

The other problem with this is that there is no site title on the other pages. So if people came in through one of those other pages they wouldn't know what the site was.

Are you planning on doing background changes on mouseover for the navbar here? That would be nice. It would also be good to see some colour here and there. Any bright colour would be good.
