Orange text on dark blue background is hard for my eyes (I'm visually impaired).
When I came to the site, I couldn't figure what it is about? About photography? Travel? Description of some region? Finally I found that it is about apartment rental, but you should stress it more or people will not know what you want to offer them. Like, for example, putting "Apartment rental in..." as a hreading of your homepage.
For the main page, with your type of site, you really shouldn't have to scroll much off the page, if any at all. The majority of the content should fit on one screen, at least with as low as an 1024x768 setting, if not 800x600.
Also, the Google ads don't really seem to go with the site. With your site, they seem to make it look less professional. Can't tell if it's the ads themselves, or the completely different colors.
Also, I would advise putting the title, short description and the quote that's at the top of the page into a header graphic, rather than them being plain text.

Make a logo and header image. Use justify for text alignment and yeah, tell people what the site is about on the main page
