Hey I hope you can give me a little advice on the following webpage:

http://www.clan-xenon.com
Front Entrance

Or http://www.800.clan-xenon.com
Skips intro and takes you directly to the 800x600 page

Or http://www.1024.clan-xenon.com
Skips intro and takes you directly to the 1024x768 page

At the moment the main pages are incompatable between resolutions, thus the different pages...However I have found a solution and will make a single page viewalbe @ all resolutions. Also the autodetect script is not working I havent solved this yet as I am about to make a single page.

I get the feeling that the page looks a little bland and needs something to make it look the part of an exciting gaming clan website.

I am new to making websites and i would appreciate any hints or tips.

Thanks A lot.

The flash intro seemed to take a long time to load for me, as did the main part of the site.

I think the main problem here is that your logo doesn't coordinate well with the rest of the design. THe menu and content area are nice, but the logo is a totally different style. Change one to match the other.

A more exciting look might be an improvement considering the topic. Maybe someone else could give you more advice on that - I'm not really into video games.

Otherwise, it looks quite good - great for someone who's new to this. I like the flip down info on the menu and the sounds - very game-ish. The mouseovers aren't too clear though - you can hardly tell that something is happening with the images.

I have followed ure advice in the following areas:

  • The intro movie is being redesigned to load 66% faster.
  • A new logo is being design right now.
