Another big project done...
Hey,
we just finished another site. I'm glad cuz the content really sucks. Its about medical stuff for old people like diapers and stuff like that.
The customer requested to add some points to the navigation menu last minute, so we had to reduce the height of the top frame in order to fit the page on 800x600 resolution. Dont even try to look at it with lower resolutions In Germany 640x480 resolutions have gone down to less than 5%, so its really not that big of an issue anymore. Anyway, the page looks a little unproportionate now, check it out yourself.
Its German once again, so use your imagination

It took a long time to load. About 30 secs to 1 minute. Thats way too much IMO.

Hmmm- nicht falsch meiner Meinung nach
Anyway, back to the site. I like it, but of course (like all your sites) it takes a while to load. I will say it's okay since you are pre-loading your image flips, but it does take a while.
The images IMO are very blurry, and take away from the image flip effect. If you fix this then it would look much better. While I'm talking about graphics: you mouseover image for e-mail isn't in the same spot as when your mouse isn't over it.
As I have said before: you guys use frames the best you can, and I can hardly tell they are there. Um- oh yeah: there is an image in the top frame that links to the index.html page, but I only found that out when I accidently moved my mouse up there. I would make it a little more obvious.
I know this isn't your problem, but the server the site is on is very slow in responding, and didn't fully load many of the pages.
Overall it's pretty good, but I would fix the graphics!

That eMail-link thing is weird. It can reproduce it on the PC but it doesnt seem to happen on Macintosh.
The host has direct connection to the backbone Germany's (by very very far) biggest ISP, so it should work alright. There was probably a problem with the US<->Germany backbone (Damn fish trallers). My computer, at home, needs only 15 secs to load the homepage (single channel ISDN).

Took 12 seconds on a T1
Anyway, my main problem with it is the arrow buttons look poor compared to the rest of the site.

Could you please specify which buttons you mean? DO you talk about the dHTML menus?

Oh, I see now. You wont believe it, but thats their corporate identity. We dont do their print stuff, so we dont have any influence in those buttons.

Looks very professional
My suggestions:
1)You need to improve your download time to vistor's browser around 40K.
2)A simple side bar with the links will look more outstanding.
3)Your main page is too short, try to add more text filler.
Overall, it's a very pleasing site.

Very nice Malte -- I'd also like to suggest making the load time a little faster... it's bearable right now but it does seem to take a considerably long time to load all the images. However, I don't really think there's much you can do as far as that is concerned without changing the quality of the design. Looks great.
