Abhishek's Katyusha (I will be getting a proper domain for this shortly.)

Since everyone else is, I might as well. Wink

It's just a blog. I tried to keep everything minimal, as a reaction to the bloated design and code I ended up with in the last version.

I think it's lacking something, which I hope you lot will be able to help with. Smiling

I welcome all useful comments.

mmmmm....I like Laughing out loud
I think it may be the way the logo sorta sits there in the corner by its self that makes you feel something is missing.....maybe if it used the the same colour as the page background rather than the lighter green.

Hey Abhi,

Well, it's clean indeed Smiling
I like the combination of green and orange, but I'm not sure of the lila you use.

Furthermore, when I scroll to "Look who's back", I think there's too much happening on the screen. Maybe add a divider to each blog item?

I also think your site needs a third color... when you count the lila as well, a fourth color.
Maybe use the brown you use on the bottom of each page some more?

Hope this helps Smiling

Looks pretty good. I like the logo. It's very striking. I do agree that the space to the right of it looks a little odd. I'm not sure what would work there though.

One thing I really don't like is the "is a blog about" bit under the logo. It seems unnecessary, the sizing is odd, and it's just distracting from the logo. I would just take it out.

Good job!

Hey this is really nice! I also vote against the "is a blog about" but otherwise pretty fabulous. Smiling

I do not understand why several pages (category links) have the same content. Is the site still under construction?

No, I think its just that one post has several categories.
What's this Creative Commons, thing abs?

Sorry I just don't get it at all.
Need to add dividers as mentioned above.
As well as spread it out. Maybe add a table on the sides with resource links to your content.
Just a little to plain for me.

To those who don't like the "is a blog about": I might redo the header. Smiling

That should also help make it more interesting, less plain.

Separators - working on them.

Posts are filed under multiple categories as often my writing really does cover multiple topics, even angles. They appear to have the same content because, firstly, there are very few posts there and, secondly, I may be a little zealous in selecting parents (too many). Wink

heebie, follow the link to Creative Commons and have a read. It's a licence to publish creative work (such as writing, visual art and music) under. There are many combinations of rights one can allow other people to have to appreciate, use and modify your creative work -- all far less restrictive than default copyright rules. For example, you can let people simply copy but not modify your work as long as they give credit, or your can let them copy and modify without giving credit, or limit use to non-commercials, or whatever. Creative Commons gives artists and writers readymade licences to use. The point is to make it easy to free creative work. Smiling
