Well, my first impression was that it is very unique. I think the menu (mouseovers) are different (in a good way). I like them. I don't really like the rest of the page though, the windmill doesn't look too good in my opinion. I am not sure what you could replace it with thought.

The "News" and "Welcome" graphics look to grungy to look Professional. Maybe try a different font?

Keep up the good work.

What's the point of the windmill?

Looks pointless.

Personally I think the only good looking thing on the http://www.21studios.com/test/21studios.html
page is the mouse over effects. The windmill and 21 studios images are too blurry and don't look professional at all.

I'll have to agree with the others here...the windmill site looks really unprofessional. However, the other site looks very professional...why would you change that? ? ?

Comments for you original site:

First impression is very good.
I'll say that the top menu links are too blury. (This is also true for the rest of the site) Nice moseover effect.

Portfolio: The brief commewnt about each site is centered, I think it might look cleaner if you use left alignment here, and also make sure you align the text with the above picture. You have vertical lines separating the images, but not horizontal lines, you might want to add these...creating sort of an index table.

Studios: On the image to the left the top of the line is thinner than the rest going down. On the right side the whole line is thin. You might want to adjust these lines so they have the same apperance.

Other than that it looks good, I really like your entrance point.

Thanks,
AB

Welcome to 21 Studios. Websites and Graphics built to your specifications ... I just had to wonder whose specs this one was built to

Now it's true that customers have some strange ideas, but I think if a potential customer came to a site with that design looking for a website and graphics designer, it wouldn't matter how good the 'inside' of the site was .. they would leave.

As somebody said somewhere in the critique forum - your site design is a showplace for your talents as a site designer for hire. I'd go straight back to the previous design, and write this off to experience.

Hello,
The windmill page, i though was good, then i looked a few hours later, (and maybe got a bit smarter) and noticed, that it wasnt quite the look i was going for. The design I plan to keep for awhile is the one currently at www.21studios.com.

(didnt know how to use the quote thing)

I dont really under stand this, i looked at the lines by the studios graphic, and they al are still 1 pixel wide. I guess i dont quite understand what you are saying.

Thanks for everyones help.

Hi Ken,

Thanks,
AB

ABC -- post a link to the image on your server.

So you would print scrn, ctrl-v into your graphics program, save as a gif or jpeg (probably reduce it first to 50% or so) and upload it to your server.

The you would link to the image using a regular ubb link like this one of me and my kid:

http://www.zerocattle.com/examples/images/curiouspair.jpg

Using the square brackets and [ url ] and [ /url ] (no spaces).

hth,

Suzanne
