2 sites...would love some opinions
Thanks for checking guys. I've changed the front page a bit as I agree it was a little plain looking...let me know if you think it's any better.
I like the orange also but want to use it mainly to highlight things as it does attract the eye.
I love the font on the menu! But I know everyone has their own personal preferences.
As for the rollovers...some people love them, some it bothers. I'm not sure how I feel about them, kind of impartial I guess but I will try centering it behind the text to see how that look. Thanks for the suggestion!
The logo is something I'm still working on. I think I've come up with 100 different designs and still can't seem to make something I like. I guess it'll come to me (hopefully soon).

Would like some opinions on 2 site I've just finished. How they look in different browsers at different resolutions. How easy or hard you find the navigation. General overall look and feel. Thanks

I think the Categories on the left of your page needs to be more attractive, so that people will notice it. Overall, the topbar is fine. But the main content area looks a bit plain.

1) I agree about the site being plain. Although the design/layout is good, the site is really pretty plain. You could first start by jazzing up the logo.
2) I don't really like the font you used for the menu. But that's just my preference.
3) I like the orange you have in a few spots. Why not try weaving that color more into the site?
4) I don't like how sometimes the menu mouseover is ovlapping the text. Why not try putting it centered behind all the text?
Overall it's not bad...

Personally, I loved the site. The colours drew me in and I love the concept you have for posting announcements! Great Idea!
You might consider putting buttons on the left or highlighting the links somehow. You need something to draw attention to that left side.
Personally, I like how you handled the links on the right. I agree about the mouseovers, it would be nice if they were consistent with the wording, but I can see why this is happening.

Thanks for the input! I put a little animation on the left to highlight the categories...hopefully this makes them easier to see.
