Someone tell me why is it when you go to some web sites and then decide to leave you can't? This agrivates the heck out of me. Especially when you are looking for something and are trying to get back to the place where you started but can't. You end up having to close the window out all together and start your search over again.

I hate it when that happens.Mad

Some disable the back button thinking that you will have to buy their product since you can't leave. I wouldn't ever buy anything from a site that does that. Here is a way to fix it though:
In IE, right click the back button or click the little down arrow next to the back button. This brings up the last 9 or 10 places you have visited. Just go two links back and you are set. Sometimes also you can double click the back button real quick and accomplish the same thing.

Here is another stupid little browser trick, hold down the left shift key while clicking a link. This pops up that link in a new window.

ALT+left arrow is also back. And if you hold them both down, you can fly back in time real quick. Wink
(ALT+right arrow is forward)

My mouse has a wheel..
SHIFT+scroll down = back
SHIFT+scroll up = forward
CTRL+scroll down = increase font size
CTRL+scroll up = decrease font size

Wanna learn more shortcuts? hehe I got a lot of shortcuts.

I'm running Win98SE.
ALT + (double)click on My Computer = System Properties
WIN + PAUSE = System Properties
SHIFT + DELETE = cut
SHIFT + INSERT = paste
ALT+ESC = acts like ALT+TAB, but will cycle through more windows (like error windows)
CTRL+ESC = opens the Start menu
SHIFT+ESC = just cleared this textarea

Lots more, but never remember them. I just kinda use them and dont know.

Gee thanks for all the shortcuts. I never knew that your keyboard could do all that. Now I can laugh at the suckers who won't let me out. Laugh
