a word on dreamweaver
I have been using Macromedia's Dreamweaver and thought it is the best HTML editor I have ever came across. Please share your experiences or opinions with other about Dreamweaver.

You mean nothing beats handcoding!
I use dreamweaver all the time and think it's very good. It does help to be able to handcode to a certain degree even if you use something like DW you can tighten things up using the code view pane.

I think we should distinguish here between WYSIWYG, or what I'll call visual editors and code editors. DW is kind of a hybrid now, but I'd still classify it as a WYSIWYG. I definitely would agree that it is the best visual page editor I have come across. It's the only one I've found that can understand more sophisticated code, render it properly, and not mess with it. I have some pages here at work that use list styles, nested lists and CSS. Adobe GoLive wouldn't even display it properly!
Homesite would be the best code editor I've come across.
