Can we please use English please? Not all of us spend time in chatrooms or on their mobile telephone. (Gosh that sounded posh:
Anyway, it was from 'I need to vent' which is lying somewhere in this forum.

My appologies and not to get off topic, but since it's hard to tell serious versus kidding intent on the internet, I'll err on the side of caution. What I meant to say was "Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off"
Now back to the Firefox love-fest thread

I have been looking at different browsers for a few months ... started with IE Explorer (don't care for it) then I went to Firefox (seemed to have issues) then I went to Greenbrowser (that was one of the better ones). I stuck with Green Browser till tonight ... tonight I found Slimbrowser ... it is the best browser ever! You can customize EVERYTHING!!! And it has a lot of features.
All features
Multiple site browser based on tab-page interface
Seamless integration with AI RoboForm FormFiller/Password Manager
Built-in Popup Killer based on intelligent identification and pre-defined filtering
Site windows killed by mistake are FULLY RECOVERABLE
Ability to turn on/off Flash Animation
Built-in web form spell checker.
Universal URL Filter: Block ad banners, flash animations, iframes or any components within any web pages by URL patterns.
Built-in RSS News Rendering Engine. Now you can read RSS news directly inside SlimBrowser without additional RSS Reader software.
ActiveX Filter: block obtrusive dialogs prompting you to install unsafe ActiveX controls.
Convenient access to major search engines by Quick-Search Bar
Seamless integration of most Internet Explorer toolbars
ScriptPad: Built-in VBScript/Jscript/HTML/Text editor. View screenshot.
Hidden Sites : hide and show a site at users' request
Skinned window frame.
Free-zooming of any web page.
AutoLogin: automatically connect and log into specified website with just one click.
Seamless integration with online translation engine and dictionaries
Ability to suppress script error message dialog
Site Group: Open and save a collection of sites as a group
Flexible control of startup actions
URL Alias: Type short alias instead long URL.
I will warn you .. when you first download it and open it ... the toolbars seems to take over your screen ... BUT ... you can customize them and remove them ... you can choose whatever skins you want and everything ... this is by far the best browser out there. You just have to have some patiences until you set it up how you want it to run. I will admit ... it is overwhelming at first but ... boy o boy ... once you get your settings in ... mmmm ... nummy browser!!

Opera does most of that as well Looks like SlimBrowser is just a add-on to IE, so you don't get any of the standards support that O & Ffox have.
Our admins are currently unavailable. If they were around I'd ask them about this but they're not, so.... Oh, and Chad is the official webmaster still, and Mark Hensler is also an Admin. I am the uberModerator

Glad to hear all your responses! Still nobody with IE ?!?? I hope you're not just being shy
Everyone knows I use Opera. I did a search here awhile back and found my first reference to using Mozilla was in June of 2001! So it's been 3 1/2 years for me I do have to use IE occassionally for things that don't work in O (bad programming ). We have a new CMS that almost entirely works in Opera, except for one HTML editor which only partially works in Mozilla so I have ot use IE for that
What I love about Opera is that it's got everything I need built in. No need to install extensions (although there are many things extensions can do that O can't so there's a flip side to that). I'm also addicted to it's mail client. I love having mail built right into my browser, and it's got a really unique way of sorting messages that I couldn't live without now. Plus an excellent built in spam filter.
P.S> Just noticed that I'm over 5K in posts all of a sudden! Maybe I'll get back to the top of that list again after all

If I remember correctly, your bookmarks are stored if your using Windows XP, in c:\My Documents and Settings\$username$\Applications\Mozilla\Profiles\$profilename$\Bookmarks or something similar to that.
FYI, There is also a Googlebar extension in Firefox. Maybe you'll like to give it a try, I haven't tried it myself, only the Google Pagerank extension.

I cant stand anything but firefox now, lol. I use IE ONLY for the google page rank with the google tool bar and on sites that dont work in firefox (i.e. the microsoft website..)
The only complaint I have about firfox is the way it actually stores the bookmarks, I format my computer alot so i tend to loose things. Its hard to get the bookmarks backed up

Discover the wonderful world of extensions my friend!
I use this extension called Bookmarks Backup. It automatically backsup all your bookmarks every time you quit the application. http://www.pikey.me.uk/mozilla/
And for your google pagerank needs, I've not used this one myselft and I don't think they have permission from Google but you can checkout the Google Pagerank Extension at http://www.tapouillo.com/firefox_extension/

Of course. Firefox.
An addition to Busy's comment on the UA Switcher, I also highly recommend the "Web Developer" extension. It is extremly usefull, cannot live with out it.
Oh yes, and the "Tabbrowser Extensions" extension, not to be confused with the "Tabbrowser Preferences" extension

No IE on Linux.
I use Firefox, Opera, Mozilla Classic, Epiphany, Konqueror, and elinks. When I'm forced to use Win, I use Firefox/Classic or Opera if they're available. Except for testing locally, I try not to use IE. I'd even use Windows's horrible ftp terminal app instead of IE in places where I could.

I tried Firefox a while back and never really used it, but a month ago I started using FireFox all the time. That's what I am using now, and I am not going back to IE ever. I love the tabs!

in Order:
Mozilla firefox (only just changed from firebird),
Mozilla firebird, (prefer this over firefox but have to move ahead I suppose)
NS4.7 (fast surfing when you just want info without the bull),
Opera 6 (only really used for validation and page display)
and IE (only if I really have to).
For those of you that have Mozilla, be sure to get the agent switcher download. There aren't many sites Mozilla wont display but if you ever do come across one the switcher allows you to ID as something else, can even use your own

Primarily Opera 6.5, I launch Mozilla or Firefox when I run across sites that won't work correctly in Opera. I just dumped Opera 5.5, leaving me with:
Opera 6.5
Mozilla
Firefox
Netscape 7 (.2?)
IE 6 (Yech)
Netscape 4.7 (I keep it because I like it's e-mail program best)
Opera 7 runs sluggish on my old poopy machine, (Cyrix II at 366 MGHZ) and with Moz and Firefox I get a bit of lag. If I do indeed get the intendted new computer for Christmas, I will pay for and upgrade to Opera 7. But then again Mozilla will run excellent then too, and I have the web developer tools for it, so it just might become my fave.
