Where do you go to look for scripts?
I'm looking for a script that will do polls and surveys on my site. I've tried hotscripts but wasn't able to find anything that works. I've spent 2 days already examining options and trying to get them to work. It's frustrating when I go to some of these script repositories and half the scripts are out of date or broken.
Does anyone know of any good, up-to-date script repository sites???

Google
I normally do searches like 'php poll script' (language type + 'script') and get quite a few useful results.
Then again, most stuff like that I tend to write for myself now so that it works exactly the way I want rather than trying to hack in someone elses code. Go on... learn PHP, you know you wanna

All I got was more script repositories. One of them led me to a possible partial solution.
Yes, I could learn PHP and do this myself (or send it downstairs to the web apps guy; that was the original plan acutally), but the pre-made solutions are much more robust than anything I could do myself/ourselves.

YES learn PHP it is the greatest!!!!!
It truly is a fun language to use (at least I think so)
What I find even more nifty is that over the course of the last 6 years I have watched both PHP and MySQL grow from tools that people found "interesting" to tools that the interwebs depend upon to function.

Thanks, Joseff. I had seen some of those before but not others. I was actually looking for something that could do quick polls like that AND longer surveys together in the same script. Looks like I'll have to do it separately.
