I've used analog, webtrends and awstats in the past ... what do you like and why?

SmarterStats looks interesting...

I'm currently using

http://www.sitetrafficstats.com/

http://das.reinvigorate.net

http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

Purely because I can't find a program that i like and shows me the stats I wanna see...

My host generates my log files and they have an install of AWStats that i use, but the other two are generated from snippets of code placed in the html. But i'd like to avoid that so this smarterstats sounds intersting although i'm not clear on the install...

Of the 3 I'm using currently I'd have to say http://www.sitetrafficstats.com/ is the best.

The only thing you have to make sure is that your host supports .NET and is willing to creat an application pool. The licensing is very fair in that if you want the free version you can only use it for one domain. We have the fullunlimited version for our hosting customers and they love it...

Well I installed SmarterStats from smartertools.com last night.

I just installed it onto my laptop and showed it where my log files are (I download them to my HD and keep a copy there). From what I could see during my quick look last night it looks like a nice little apllication.

If it all works out I'll probably use this for my whole site stats and http://www.sitetrafficstats.com/ for my blog stats.

Glad you like it... I swear by it whereas as most analyzers I just swear AT! Smiling
