what would you want?
hi,
i am in the current stages of creating a free adverising website.
i want to know, if you'd use one (i know how fussy you lot are about avertising etc), what would you want from an advertising website (features, etc.)
i want to make this website the users website - where it has everything they want

What does that mean exactly?
Advertising is quite a wide field, are you talking about a directory of businesses, as there are a lot of those around already.
Also you should know that design by committee never works, as you cannot please everyone, the results are always middle of the road mediocrity. Not that you shouldn't question your target market, but you should ensure you know exactly who they are before you approach them.
I'm also wondering what would happen if I requested: No pop-in site ads?
a Padded Cell our articles site!

I want a web site that is very clean, functional and popular. A place where everyone goes to.... wait, what is this website for?

its not a directory - they are crap. Its where it shows an in-site advertisement at random from the database. This means your ad shows are not based on credits, hits, etc. JUST ONE PICKED RANOMELY EACH TIME.
I'm having a bit of trouble showing in-site ads though. I don't know PHP that well so am just using 'off-cuts'. I know one at dynamic drive - that's the kind of thing i want:

The only problem is that I do not want a script which holds a copyright
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
