What is SSI?
I've heard about this SSI thing, and done a bit of searching, but most of what I found tells you how to set it up. From what I gather, it allows you to include other pages, without PHP?

SSI uses Apache's built in methods to include files. It MUST be enabled to use it.
PHP is a different server-side language.
So you'd be trading one for the other. SSI has less function.

ssi stands for server side includes.
it's completley different with far less functionality.
it's basically gone the way of the dinosaur due to its lack of functionality.
POSIX. because a stable os that doesn't have memory leaks and isn't buggy is always good.
