What promo tools do you use?
What kind of promo tools are you using to promote your publisher programs at the moment? The reason im asking is that we are currently putting together a range of promo tools for our upcoming publisher program launch and wondered what type of promo tools would be best to offer our publishers.
Are there any specific banner sizes you typically use? Also, what type? static, animated, flash? Right now we are working on some standard banner sizes 468x60, 120x60, 728x90, and a couple of other sizes in static and gif animated format. Do you think flash banners should be something we should add as well?
Do any of you use hosted promo tools such as hosted mini-sites, hosted reviews, or hosted articles? If not, would you? We've been discussing offering publishers an arrange of promo tools that we would host on our servers[mini-sites, reviews, articles, and landing pages] that publishers could link directly to and be credited with any sales made from these sites. Do you think this would be something that you would use if we offered them?
Thank you for any advice or feedback you have to offer on these questions.I have posted this in a few other message boards as well to hopefully get as much feedback as possible. I look forward to reading your responses.

No not ad publishing programs but actual affiliate programs that sell individual products, for example, one of the products we're going to be opening up for affiliates will be http://www.quittingadvantage.com what, as an affiliate publisher, would you like to use in order to promote our product websites, specific banner sizes, certain types of ads, that kind of thing?

Suggest you offer publishers customizable colors and fonts, to help them make the ads look good on their sites.
If the images are hosted by you, make sure that the ads load FAST, many of affiliate programs' ads make pages load slowly - this is really important.
Lastly, although this is a bit off-topic,
pay more frequently than Amazon. Don't have a high threshold for payment, like $50. Publishers work hard and would like to see their reward at least monthly, even if it's small.
Good luck!
