Website Grabber

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good program that will grab a website (and the pages linked to within that domain) and saves it on a local system that also redoes all HREF's, SRC's ect to work from viewing locally?

I used GetRight to grab a site, and it did a nice job of finding all links and grabbing almost all files, however, all of the images were imagename-001.gif (when should have been imagename.gif).

Also I had to go through every page and change the HREF's and SRC becasue they were absolute paths to the files. Need soemthing to change them to relative paths off of where I tell it to save.

Ideally, you would give a URL and a local directory, and it would save out a copy and redo all links, so you could move that local directory anywhere. (In my case, I need it burned onto a CD for showing a website in court).

This is tedious going through each page, even with a macro I created to search replace...

Thank you.

Just a question: why would you need to do this? You should have the source already if it was your own site? And why would you be taking someone else's?

If you need any PHP programming don't hesitate to shoot me an email or PM me here at Webmaster-Forums!

Thank you for the link to the program, it looks like it works fine!

The reason behind needing a program to do this is so that a dynamic web page can be shown on a laptop from a CD in court for a trial. While I have code to our site, this program grabbing every page and making a local static page site (as well as adjusting all links to work right) saves a ton of time!
