WebAlizer vs WebLog Expert
I purchased and use WebLog Expert to analyze my data logs. My web host furnishes WebAlizer for on-line stats. Both products produce approximately the same numbers for hits and bandwidth, but the numbers vary greatly for Pages and Visits.
WebAlizer has pages = 4971 and visits = 1312.
WebLog Expert has pages = 3309 and visits = 2378.
Can anyone shed some light on why there would by such differences? Is there an affordable, well-accepted method of measuring that is accepted by those making advertisement placement decisions?
Thanks,
Doug Wilkinson

Maybe WebLog doesn't count / and/or .php/.asp/.cgi/etc as pages. They all count differently, the only thing these scripts have in common is the number of hits which is basically number of lines in the log file.
