Webalizer with Vignette on Solaris
Dear all,
We run Vignette V6 for content management and display. All boxes on our platform run Sun Solaris. The webservers run Apache on Solaris.
We use Webalizer version 2.01 to generate nightly reports from the webserver logfiles.
Finally, the problem:
We have content items that are spread over our category structure. E.g. a press release may relate to multiple areas of the website so Vignette creates a page for each instance in the cache. A typical URL on our site could be:
http://hostname/template_name/category_id=xxxxxx&language_id=xx&content_id=xxxxxx,00.html
Now, we may have many cached pages that have the same content_id (as the content is the same) but have various language id and category id values.
Does anyone know if it is possible to configure Webalizer so that could create a custom report that reports hits, visits, etc. to only one instance of a content_id? This would make it easier to report how many times a content item was actually visited.
We really like Webalizer so we wouldn't necessarily want to replace it.
Thanks for your time!
