Web rings
What are your views on web rings?
In terms of getting traffic from other sites from being part of the ring, loosing visitors from your site as your site also links to others, problems with bad neighbourhoods and blacklisted sites etc.

People still use these? Or does this term refer to something else now? I don't think I've seen one since the late-90s!

They were nice until there got to be so many "broken" ones from people not maintaining them... Don't even get me started on the Yahoo takeover of Webring.org....

Just wondering the implications of bad neighbours etc.
I personally don't see any advantages of this.
EDIT: webring.org seems to be the same site as webring.com
