W3C CSS Validator
No idea where to from here. I used the W3C CSS Validator to validate my site and all seemes OK (I THINK). It says:
To work as intended your CSS style sheet needs a correct document parse tree. This means you should use Valid HTML.
OK, I used W3C XHTML 1.0 validator and all pages in my site come up with many error messages.
Now all this stuff has me baffeled and as a newbe no idea what to do and what it all means.
I built my site with Serif web plus 9 if that helps any

Work on your HTML first. This is a very painstaking process at first, until you get the hang of it. It might help if you post your validation results here and we can help you go through things. Sometimes even one mistake at the top will throw off the whole page and you'll get all kinds of other errors just because you forgot to close a tag or something.
What have you done so far to learn xHTML? You may also want to start with something a little less strict like HTML 4.0 transitional. Definitely don't do xHTML strict yet.

Just fix one error at a time, if the report says 100 errors, ignore from number 2 onwards, fix number one and test again. In most cases you will find the first 5 errors (sometimes not even that) are all there are, the rest are being created by the first errors.
try again, if you get stuck give us the url and we can help explain the errors.

This page is not Valid HTML 4.01 Transitional!
Below are the results of attempting to parse this document with an SGML parser.
1. Error Line 82 column 10: end tag for "DIV" omitted, but its declaration does not permit this.
* You forgot to close a tag, or
* you used something inside this tag that was not allowed, and the validator is complaining that the tag should be closed before such content can be allowed.
The next message, "start tag was here" points to the particular instance of the tag in question); the positional indicator points to where the validator expected you to close the tag.

6. Error Line 107 column 15: there is no attribute "SRC".
You have used the element named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not define an element of that name. This error is often caused by:
* incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Frameset" document type to get the "" element),
* by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "" or "" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).
* by using upper-case tags in XHTML (in XHTML attributes and elements must be all lower-case.

The attribute given above is required for an element that you've used, but you have omitted it. For instance, in most HTML and XHTML document types the "type" attribute is required on the "script" element and the "alt" attribute is required for the "img" element.
Typical values for type are type="text/css" for and type="text/javascript" for <script>.

45. Error Line 223 column 5: end tag for element "DIV" which is not open.
The Validator found an end tag for the above element, but that element is not currently open. This is often caused by a leftover end tag from an element that was removed during editing, or by an implicitly closed element (if you have an error related to an element being used where it is not allowed, this is almost certainly the case). In the latter case this error will disappear as soon as you fix the original problem.
If this error occured in a script section of your document, you should probably read this FAQ entry.

Byte-Order Mark found in UTF-8 File.
The Unicode Byte-Order Mark (BOM) in UTF-8 encoded files is known to cause problems for some text editors and older browsers. You may want to consider avoiding its use until it is better supported.

i see a lot of your errors are because of alt atributes. Put alt atributes in all images and that should get rid of about 20 errors.

I take it "Serif web plus 9" is an editor.
open up notepad (not word or wordpad).
now go down your code until you find
error 1
you will see:
the reason for the first error is because you have the and tags (open tags) inside the noscript tags without being closed, I haven't been through your whole code so for now comment that section out, so it would look like:
-->
save the file in notepad
error 2, 3 and 4 will be fixed by above
error 5
go down about a page (just under) and find:
in the middle
