URL not displaying correctly - Urgent help please
Hi,
The hosting company is IXWebHosting. The domain name is: animalsave.info. There is one page in the file section and it is: default.php. The index is enabled. The file in the index is: default.php. With or without the index enabled if one uses IE and types: http://www.animalsave.info one gets the 'website under constructions blah-blah-blah' page. If one uses IE and one types: http://www.animalsave.info/default.php one then sees the actual uploaded page. I can get no help from the live chat on IXWeb. The support says they can see it, and sent me a snapshot, but they were not using IE. And it is not just my computer. It is everyone I've asked to test it - same result. Can someone please tell me what is wrong in my settings if any? This is very urgent. Thank you very much.

I use IE 7 and it shows fine using just your domain name as the URL.
Also is ok in FF.
Although a file named "default" will work ok on windows servers, I would advise you stick to using "index" as a default web page.
Alternatively, you could use a htaccess file to tell the server which file is the default for that folder.

I agreee, take a look at the .htaccess file and make that direct "Default.php" to be the home/index page or just rename to index.php.
