So, what are you working on?
It's that time again! In case you weren't around the last time I asked, I always like to look over peoples' shoulders to see what they're doing. So, tell me, what are you working on these days?
This is what I've got going these days:
At work: In case you don't already know, I develop online courses for the University of Waterloo. Our courses consist of flash presenations streamed with audio, connected to with various tasks, assignments, and discussions for students to do. Right now I'm finishing up History 247 (Mennonite History) and Econ 220 (entrepreneurship). Both courses are being offered in the winter term so I have to get them finishsed up soon. I also just started Social Work 300R (about social policy making) so today I've been doing audio editing on that.
Freelance: The Belfry Cottage site is almost done and I'm still working on the ITC Survey site I have almost no time for this stuff!
Personal: Since I have little time for freelance work, I have no time for personal sites. Gymn.ca needs a new stats service I think... I've always wanted to start up a blog too but I've never quite had the time to get one going.

Trying to climb *out* of a lull here!
Sites on the go:
An "Educational Enrichment" program for low income kids in Denver, Colorado. This is kind of fun as it is my first Spanish/English project. The downside is working with purple. For some reason, purple and I don't get along well. I should throw this one up as a critique thread - been a while since I "ran the gauntlet"
A Perinatal AIDS Center in San Francisco. Small site, all but finished.
A Canadian Author about to launch his second novel.
The Ottawa Chamber Music Festival. I have yet to get going on this beyond slapping up a temporary site for them because the old one was sooo bad.
My site. I *really* want to redo my own site but every draft so far has wound up in the electronic trash bin. grrr!

At work: Dismantling an old Novell Server, putting the final touches on a scheduling program, replacing 98 with 2000/XP on user machines, building a new anti-spam server, replacing/upgrading some older computers, adding a Linux file server, starting work on my work website (a pretty large project and a FP conversion).
Freelance: volunteering to help build a suprise wedding site for my niece, working on some updates on current sites and starting prelim work on a couple of new sites.
Personal: Chasing my 16-month old son around, chasing my wife around, etc...

Yes, I do other things than surfing the net and playing online games and posting those games here (that's only about 5% of my time really, I sleep less and less)
at work: a cd-rom application (delphi/xml) that helps students choose an ba/ma education. The cd-rom contains 97% of all available educations in the Netherlands. About 40/50 hours a week.
freelance: currently nothing. Too busy with work at the moment.
personal: maintaining a site that displays the collection of the members of the EuroContest. This is a result of a bet I did/do with some friends to be the first one that owns all diferent euro-coins from all Euro-countries. The total number of coins is 96. The bet started at January 1st 2002, when most countries in Europe switched to the currency of the Euro. I became 2nd in August 2002 The site is here, it's in dutch btw.
next?

at work:we run a web hosting company and work with a company here in Sweden developing websites (from simple HTML sites to advanced e-commerce sites).freelance:Currently I'm working on a video store site that is opening a 3rd branch downtown. They have spent tons of money having their website re-created many times but it's very simple and ugly. My job is to make is look a lot better and also create a database for their movies. They also want forums, live chat, online ordering, photo gallery, etc. Deadline is sunday. From time to time I also work on other smaller projects for people I know in the web hosting business or elsewhere.personal:We run a Persian online community with music, lyrics, forums, e-cards and we might add more sections or take the site down since we're extremely busy with everything else, we'll see. I also have many other incomplete personal projects that I work on whenever I find the time.Mark Hensler posted this at 06:02 — 12th October 2002.

at work: work? School right now. Taking a lighter 12 unit semester. Assembly, Java, 3Ds Max, Intro to HTML. Yes, I know, I know. I just need that HTML class to kick my units back up to 12. My delphi class was cancled the first day, and my scheduled Java class the 2nd week. I scrambled and found another Java class, and was able to wave the Delphi (long story), but still needed 1 unit. Ugh.freelance: 1 project - a site for an online gaming guild. A severely hacked PHP-Nuke site.personal: been helping my grandparents move into their new house. Cousin and I built some shelves a few weeks ago. Soon we'll be making a work bench and cabinets. Then for my late night insomnia, I've got TWF to work on as well as some odd personal projects for myself and my cousin.

Hey, this is a good topic! Okay, here I go:
At Work: I'm only 17, so I don't work as of yet! However, I do view Web Designing as a job. Currently, we are going to be working on a website for a Chiropractic Neurologist; the website will overview his work, present what he does, his office etc. And he is my Chiropractic Neurologist, as I have a severe neck/head/eye pain problem, which is daily and he is the best doctor. I have to mention his efforts because of what he does for me...but wish us luck with the website!!
Personal: Well, my twin brother Ryan and I constantly work on the WebQuad Network (webquad.com) and update all of the websites within it, at most daily. The prime websites within the Network are the Hidden Manna Series (webquad.com/hmseries), and our forum of course (webquad.com/forum). We wanted to have the websites updated "automatically" (ex, show the most recent threads from the forum on such website). I managed to figure out the code to do this, with having on the front the most recent topics and replies! Too cool
Anyway, that is about it...for NOW!

working on 4 projects at once here, no wonder i'm going bald:
- a banner ad management system & website (http://www.adstream.com)
- php template software that converts a psuedo-script template language and assembles scripts into a single php document
- discussion forum software
- website stat tracking software
and after that i have some half-finished projects to finish
- FlatDB: a flat text database perl module and probably a php extension that treats flat text files as a sql database
- CSSEdit: css editing class for php, allows easily modifying cascading style sheets from a browser (intended to allow php developers to easily add style customisation and personalisation to their websites and php apps)
-Snatch: basically a crawler that pulls all content from a url and saves it locally. kindof like if there were a "Save As->Complete Website" option in IE.
my plate is full for awhile
