Shopping Carts
If this is the wrong place - I apologize!
This is verrrrry general - but from what I can see you can:
a) buy shopping cart software and build your web site around it
b) use the shopping cart software that the host can provide
c) build the shopping cart yourself
c) is not an option for us - so what are your opinions on a) or b)?
I may not have explained enough - so let me know and I will tell you what I can!

That's pretty much it. It really depends on how customisable you need the cart to be plus many hosts use a specific software with their secure package so that may be the influencing factor. Do you have any in mind?

Yes - I do have a host in mind and they can support all kinds of software. But they have one that they have purchased and just need to buy additional licenses for - so it saves the client a lot of money to do it that way. However, the client does not 'own' the software. So if they want to switch hosts they would have to buy it.
The software is Cart32.
Any ideas on owning yourself or through the host?
Any ideas about that software?
