Shopping Cart Needed With These Features...
Hi There,
I am currently looking for a new shopping cart for my website...I will tell you what I am looking for as I now know what I have faulted on in the past...
1. I will *Definitely* need a shopping cart that has a 'dropshipping feature' built in. (meaning I would need to have the cart be able to accept mulit-ship *FROM* locations, as I have some products which will be shipped from another business location than mine.
2. I accept paypal payment's only, the cart will have to accept paypal, (and something I missed from other carts, was the IPN feature...This *MUST* be in it and ready to use without additional setup, or very little configuration on my part to get it to work. I am no programmer here
3. I *HATE* the part of having to login to my website *everytime* to purchase, but don't mind if you just have sign-up to make checkout quicker, (or newsletter sign-ups) in the sense of just having to add your name, & address/email to make checkout quicker, that's ok.
4. Must be browser based cart ( could be hosted, but reasonably priced )
5. A Really 'clean' admin area to add / update products.
6. Unlimited Categories / Unlimited Subcategories per category, as in:
Category Name:
Toys
[Consoles]
[Games]
[Console Accessories]
[etc..]
7. Additional Features would be great, affiliate program, banner advertise feature...You know the bells & whistles that make a great website...But don't forget the most important is what is stated up top of this message. My website is: Http://www.brothersvarietystore.com and the cart I am using now is Sunshop 3.2.
Thank you for your time!

Issue 1 isn't really something the cart should have to address. You should fix your shipping prices and keep them simple, having different shipping values depending on a number of criterea is really confusing for the end user. I don't think I've ever seen an eccomerce solution with a feature like that.
I know OSCommerce works with PayPal IPN (with the help of a user contributed modification) and has the user signup feature you mentioned.

I use oscommerce and really like it. My server crashed recently and I'm having to redo it or I'd show you my site...
oscommerce has lots of addon scripts to do just about anything. Easy to create categories and upload products. It has a banner feature and you can set up how you do shipping.

First of all...do you have cPanel installed? Is that your user interface for running your website? If so, most versions of cPanel have Agora Shopping cart installed, and another one that I can't remember. You can use that to do most anything you need to

hi,
I think you should try out vpasp.com, these ppl are pretty flexible and have got over 60 shopping carts, maybe you should give them a try.
